Eerie, isnt it?!

“Friday’s are inheritable freaky, aren’t they? Hence the term, Freaky Friday, because you’ll never know, what kinks the weekend may bring…” Gun Roswell’

The early hours of the morning
Came, with a dire warning
The powers that be, were none too happy
And sending down, weather oh so crappy
Which was their way of utter kind of revenge
On to the lowly populous down on the ground now clenched
There was no sunshine to be seen
Alas also, no stormy clouds, on the skies kind of pristine
Only an eerie, soggy, all compassing shroud
Could be felt, across the people, the land, and all around
The visibility next to none
The kids, gloomy, loosing their fun
What kind of living could this be
Since there was nothing or no one to be seen
Yielding to their horrific fate
The dwellers down below resorted to prays
Trying their all to sooth down the tall
For several long hours of wait
The gods above, started to hesitate
Maybe then had been way to harsh
For the people living on the soggy marsh
Waving their hands of power
The fog, the mist, the eerie, was soon devoured
By a low glowing ball like thing
The light, which softly stated to sing
The surroundings soon starting to change
Into something more pleasant with less pain
The people below now thanking the gods above

A lesson with great price learnt
As the message “Never again, take you weather gods for granted”, was sent

Friday, the 13th

Posted in Freaky Friday: Tales of the odd and unexpected

“Don’t walk under any ladders,
Don’t break any mirrors,
Don’t spill any salt,
And don’t walk by any black cats.
Happy Friday the 13th!”

Friday, the 13th

Lock the doors
And shut the windows,
Close the curtains
Because who knows,
What uninvited
Behind them lurks!

Switch off all the lights
Under your beds go hide
Better fright than flight

Just because today,
Is Friday night
Of the 13th kind!

Water for Halloween

Posted in 101 fiction Halloween Issue and Halloween: Tales of Horror

“Shadows of a thousand years rise again unseen,
Voices whisper in the trees, “Tonight is Halloween!”
~Dexter Kozen

Water

Nightly Reflections
Scary darkness surrounding
My heart is wildly pounding
The waves in the distant sounding
A flicker of light in the distance
Easing my earlier resistance
Now walking towards the pier
Mind still filled with fear
Behind me, dragging my gear
Finally arriving at my destination
Looking at the dark water with hesitation
Chewing my thumb
But the time has come…
To dive in

Sinking into the dark waters
And maybe, just maybe
This is my slaughter
Shedding humanity
And becoming the sea lady
Or maybe, just maybe
I have finally learnt
The lesson taught…
And how to dive

Bench for Halloween

Bench

Halloween Night on the Bench
Surrounded by misty air
Missed the last fare
Sitting on the park bench
Wishing I had worn a trench
The eerie surroundings
Leaving my heart pounding
Not a soul in sight
On this mystical night
Wrapping my coat tighter
My mood getting lighter

But, suddenly
Noises kind of scuffly
Maybe finally, I will have some luck
And get unstuck
Cursing to myself “Oh hell and fuck!”
But then a glimpse of hope
Not exactly the transport of the Pope
But a carriage of sorts
“It’ll have to do” I snort
Waving my hand; it stops

Tales for Halloween

“When witches go riding,
and black cats are seen,
the moon laughs and whispers,
‘tis near Halloween.”

Tales

3-a-cat-eyes

The cat hissed
Her tail totally frizzed
The witch loudly laughed
Stirring her brew with the wooden shaft
“Fear not, my furry kitten
It is not you who will be eaten
It is only the humans, who should be scared”
The witch said with an evil glare
For not many knew
Of the secret, reserved only for a few
The powers witches can share
For those really fair
So better be ware
Of all others take good care
Or at least your own litter
And maybe then
A little something for you the witches leave
Tonight, on all hallows eve

Monsters and Super Freaks for Halloween

Monsters and Super Freaks

2-wicked-witch

Darkness surrounds me
In every corner do I see
Scary monsters lurking
Soon enough, freaking
Footfalls getting closer
I look over my shoulder
Fight or flight?
Did not even bring a knife

Picking up the pace
Looking for a hiding place
Nothing can be found
I turn around
Standing paralyzed
Totally petrified
Watching helplessly
Facing the enemy

Feeling hopeless
When a dark figure approaches
Scary Monsters, Super Freaks?
If lucky, geeks

Huffing and puffing
Its legs loudly scuffing
It stops in front of me
Looking at me, curiously
It’s mouth opening suddenly
With a voice leary
“Got a light deary?”
