The road less travelled
Is now covered
With a white substance!

Escalator for Mundane Monday

Posted in Mundane Monday #83
Mundane, Photography, Poetry and Humour

“I now find magic in the mundane. I’m also more creative –
better able to look beyond the obvious and come up with new story angles.”
Deborah Norville

Escalator

escalator-1
Living life in the mall’s simulator
When riding up and down the escalator
Keeping control, like an operator
From ride to ride, like a navigator
Each passenger, like an imitator
Step by step, feet moving like alternators

Sorry,
No wheels said the administrator
Or you will be labelled a violator
And thrown off from this cycle
Phew, just glad I was not a skater
Maybe sooner, than later
He’ll quit being a hater
Learn how to become a collaborator
And only then,
Be able to ride on the escalator

Red Berries for Daily Photo (one)

Posted in Daily Photo: Photography, Poetry, Humour and Horror

“I love berries. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, black berries, anything with an ‘errie’ in it!”
Jordin Sparks

Red Berries for Daily Photo

Red as cherries
Tasty as berries
But do not eat
Or off your feet
Down, down
Onto the ground
You will fall

A result of the garden project:
Shiny red objects
Round and perfect
Sun on them reflect
Them do you respect
But do not collect
And eat them and then expect
A great feeling to resurrect
Rather sooner than later
A really bad effect
In your stomach’s crater
You will detect

“No one is free, even the birds are chained to the sky”
Bob Dylan

Grey Skies for Daily Photo

clouds-2

Watching nervously from my window box
The hanging grey clouds above the roof tops
“Surely, none on our backs will drop!”
I state out loud
As the greyest of shrouds
Moving closer and closer…

Stormy weather
May seem like pleasure
At least when staying inside
Tucked, warm and in denial!

Tell a few white lies
When looking at the grey skies

“Yes, the sun will shine
And all will be just fine!”
