August Days in Espoo for Daily Photo

"Ah, summer, what power you have to make us suffer and like it."

 Up the Apple Tree

Up, up the old apple tree
Trying to catch many apples for free
Just hoping the neighbours won’t see
Otherwise they could charge me a fee!

Mayweed

Growing like weed
No need to seed
Or even them feed
But then again,
They are called “mayweed”
😉

“Did you ever wonder if the person in the puddle is real,
and you're just a reflection of him?” ― Bill Watterson

Puddle Jumping for Daily Photo

puddle-2

Overflowing with water
Are the puddles after rain
Leaving many and big a stain
Where ever the water for a while remains

Jumping, jumping, jumping out of joy
Like a kid again, shouting loudly”Ahoy!”
Splashing water all around
Everywhere , all over the ground

September may be the month of rain
Causing the summer lovers a lot of pain
But, luckily, the season of sun will come again
So keeping on puddle jumping until then 😉

Last Day of Summer for Daily Photo

“Summer afternoon—summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.”
― Henry James

Last Day of Summer for Daily Photo

Last day of Summer
Oh, what a bummer
Next stop, Autumn
Not so much fun

Beginning of September
Nothing, to remember

Or maybe, just maybe
The season of rainy
Can be fun,
After all?

Rosehip

Lush and pink
Totally in sync
The little rose
In a pose
Hidden
In the green leaves
In August’s eve

Voice

“Can you hear my voice?”
It asked

“Listen to my voice”
It continued

“Walk towards my voice”
It beckoned

Finally, standing there in front of the wall, with a can of spray in my hand, I had made my statement

“I hear a voice”

Scary Door

Be on the look out
You never know where it lies
The way to…
… A scary door!

Ride a Bike

Ride a bike
Take a hike
Watch out for spikes
As your vehicle they can strike
Stay out of fights
Other wise
Do what you like
So go
Ride a bike

Ripples on the Water

ripples 1

Soon, September comes with sniffles
Thought of that gives me wrinkles
Looking at the water’s surface filled with ripples
As it smiles with all its dimples
Life in August, smooth and simple
And today, is Friday, so just whistle

“August brings into sharp focus and a furious boil everything I’ve been listening to in the late spring and summer” Henry Rollins

Peeing Verboten

“Pee, pee, pee”
The lady told Fifi

As the little dog his leg
Lifted up and instead
Of heading the warning
It was too early a morning

And so, the little pine tree
Had gotten its fee
Yellow liquid coating
All over was floating

“What a nice decor,
Guess I just scored!”
