“There’s never one sunrise the same or one sunset the same” Carlos Santana

From Sunrise to Sunset, Part One: Sunrise

Darkness surrounding the morning suburbia
No worries, no hurries, no hysteria
Stepping out from the warmth of the bed
Tasks of a working day laid ahead
Moving along with the rising sun
Lots to do before the day is done

Just Another Fabulous Sunrise, Part One

Just another ordinary weekday?
No, it’s a fabulous sunrise day!

The gorgeous rising sun
What could be more fun
Lifting spirits up high
Almost feels like I could fly
What more could be expected
The good spirits soon deflected
For no reason
In this season
People are smiling again

“There’s a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they’re absolutely free. Don’t miss so many of them.” Jo Walton

No Ordinary Sunset

Reflecting surfaces
Free of disturbance
Shadows on the walls
Where ever light falls
Red as the colour
Always a stunner

Up in the tower
Feeling empowered
Staring at the horizon
Evermore surprising
The setting of the sun
Was a true home run

Photo challenge for PhoTrabloggers Mundane Monday
MUNDANE MONDAY CHALLENGE #32

“This is a challenge created to find beauty in almost everything. The challenge is simple : find beauty in everyday mundane things, capture the beauty and upload the photographs.”

Bill_Moyers_pierces_the_mundane

An homage to lifts/elevators everywhere 😉

“I like to make the mundane fabulous whenever I can” Rufus Wainwright

Open Sesame

Abracadabra!
How well do you know your algebra?
It is as easy as one, two, three
Even before you can boot your PC
The carriage of comfort
Has lifted you upwards
Your destination dead ahead
Nothing more left to be said

“I enter the world called real as one enters a mist” Julien Green

Early Morning Mist with a touch of Red

The eerie morning mist
Before the sun has kissed
The clouds a grayish shade
Before the mist will fade

The skies slowly turning into red
Looking forward to the day ahead
Will it be another day filled with sunshine
Or do I rain and cold wind only find?

“The month of November makes me feel that life is passing more quickly. In an effort to slow it down, I try to fill the hours more meaningfully” Henry Rollins

Just Another Week Day in November

Oh how time flies
Right in front of my eyes
Like a time laps movie
Running by the history

The sun rises and sun sets
Fluffy clouds a wonder
Rain and thunder
Making the ground wet

It used to be January
Now it is already November
Maybe it was just imaginary
Or just something I remember

“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns” George Eliot

Leaves of November

The colours may be fading
The cold nights not aiding
The circle of life still a fact
Use camouflage to distract?

Winter knocking at the door
Trying hard to ignore
Yearn for life weighing more
Growing stronger than before

Sunset in November (SL WEEK 18)

Photo Challenge by SYLVAIN LANDRY and in honour of the month of November
A response to Sylvain’s challenge theme of Sunset

sunset-1

“Sunsets, like childhood, are viewed with wonder not just because they are beautiful but because they are fleeting.” Richard Paul Evans

Sunset in November

The start of November
Surely, it will be a month to remember
Sunsets most gorgeous
Twice now in as many days

Sky painted in various colours
Shape shifting clouds in abundance
Admiring the beauty of nature’s wonders
For a while only, but what seems like hours
