The flowers on the table
Had started to bloom
Snapped a few pics

“Nothing screws up your Friday like realizing it’s Thursday”

Thursday, 19th of November, Part One

Today, Thursday

Early morning
I woke up
Showered
Looked out the window
It was really dark
The rain had continued
All through the night
Went outside for a while
Snapped a few pics

Worked, worked, worked
Meetings and then some
Had a snack break
The sun appeared
The flowers on the table
Had started to bloom
Snapped a few pics

Worked some more
Afternoon
It was time for a
Splash in the pool
Left to take the dive
Had a few minutes to enjoy the nature
Snapped a few pics

Back home
More work
More meetings
Urgency
Finally,
Working day ended
It was really dark outside
Put out some Christmas decor
Snapped a few pics

Much later
Posted some blogs
Went to sleep
Dreaming of tomorrow…

It will be Fabulous Friday!

“Last Wednesday, I stupidly dropped my iPhone in the bath, and my life has sort of spiraled almost out of control” Patrick Stewart

Wednesday, 18th of November, Part Two

Today, Wednesday

Really early morning
I woke up
Showered
Looked out the window
It was getting lighter
Sunrise!
Snapped a few pics

Drove to the office
The sunrise in full
Hurried to the pier
Snapped a few pics

Worked, worked, worked
Had a lunch break
In the late afternoon
Had great food
Snapped a few pics

Worked some more
Had a coffee break
And had a…
Few more cups of coffee
Snapped a few pics
Of the coffee that is

Working day ended
It was really dark outside
The decor was nicely lit
Snapped a few pics

Camera Lucida: Reflections

Poetry and Photography
Posted in week #13 of Camera Lucida Photo Challenge, Reflections

“It’s always interesting to look at reflections…are they really the same as the reality?
How many times did you look at your own reflection and wondered if that’s how the world sees you…?”

3

“The world is a looking glass and gives back to every man the reflection of his own face”
William Makepeace Thackeray

Camera Lucida: Reflections

Glass, wood, concrete
How this scene to complete?
Add a dash of colour
Maybe a selfie to follow?

Through the looking glass
Time slowly will pass
The observer’s delight
Is the turning of the light

Scenery, water, skies
Even a high rise
At this altitude
The surprise is an absolute

“October is the fallen leaf, but it is also a wider horizon more clearly seen. It is the distant hills once more in sight, and the enduring constellations above them once again” Hal Borland

October Saturday, Part Two

Standing in the sun’s light
Between the tall shadows
Selfies of a different kind
Listening to the echoes
Before the end of twilight
And the rising of the moon
Night time falling soon

“October sunshine bathed the park with such a melting light that it had the dimmed impressive look of a landscape by an old master” Elizabeth Enright

October Saturday, Part One

Finally, weekend
Truly a godsend
A time to enjoy and relax
Lift your feet up and chillax

But, being my usual self
Could not just sit down
Grabbed the camera from the shelf
And ran down town

Sunlight on Saturday
Watching the shadows play
Colours of leaves in abundance
The birds and flies doing a dance

Sun warming the air
Not a time to despair
The cold and damp weather
Replaced by light and high pressure

September Sunset in Suburbia

“Paradise is a state of being, more than just the name of a suburb or a home” Raquel Cepeda

September Sunset in Suburbia

The sun is setting
Day fading into night
Time to count the blessings
Turn on the street lights
Sooner than later
Slumber will cater
Silence over suburbia
Will replace the hysteria
