From sunrise until sunset, I keep watching the sky

“Sunrise, painted all the fiery colours, across the visible horizon. As I watched and clearly could smell, the odours, of the burning skies“ Gun Roswell

From sunrise until sunset, I keep watching the sky

The darkest of nights, was slowly, but surely, loosing, the ongoing fight
Against the all high and mighty rising sun, already set on conquering the skies
Alas this battle, was never, ever fought, with conventional swords or knives
But still, constantly present, eternally really, and certainly, a never ending plight

It wasn’t a bad thing though, for those of us, stuck here on the planets below
The ever changing skies, where half of the time it was dark and half of it was light
Helped us on the low, to plan our boring daily lives, divided, by amount of work and sleep
And maybe, to add there a slight slice, of something a little bit of fun, in between

So each and ever single day, the sun, the moon, the stars, in the skies kept on their play
For us mere mortals down here, to enjoy the spectacle each and every day over the skies on display
And if we are to be lucky, the sun light will never fade away completely
Just for the night time, when all of us need some time for sleeping

A wormhole in the cloudy skies

Maybe, it’s a wormhole? A gateway to other far away lands? Or then, it simply is the sun shining today?” Gun Roswell

A wormhole in the cloudy skies

The skies of today, are completely filled with clouds
Some might say, an old mystery it totally shrouds
But then the others, dream of another type of scenario there
Where, a pathway opens up abruptly, to new vistas and spheres

But whatever and whose ever the train of thought
Whatever you or others wished for and sought
Always keep on looking, high up towards the changing skies
Who knows what interesting things there you may eventually find!

Chasing the 2020 Perseid Meteor Shower

An ordinary day with an ordinary morning, maybe?

“It was supposed to be a regular day at the office, but when I arrived in the early morning hours, something totally odd had happened, and this is the story of that” Gun Roswell

An ordinary day with an ordinary morning, maybe?

When the alarm clock chimed, I slowly stirred and then, started to whine
It was way too dark and way too early, to get up and about, even with a try
But alas, this poor lass, could not start the complaint process just yet
Since it was, so early and the time, to get up from the comfortable bed

On the way out, there was a shout, just behind me, as I had once again, completely forgot
To take my pre-prepared lunch with me, for you see, I too, sometimes, do have to eat
Then without further ado, I punched the pedal to the metal to hurry myself to the streets
Because today, I had to get in early, like the worm and the birdy, you know that tales plot!

The day still beginning, and I really did not feel like singing, so just listening in
To the radio and the same old tunes, playing each day, when I was on my way
Little though, had I prepped for what awaited me on the log, when trying to find my parking spot
The scene in front of me unfolding, quite the visual spectacle, or so I am telling

Nothing short out of a breath, I suddenly halted on my very taken step
Glaring, gazing, totally amazing and in complete awe, of what it was that I saw
What ever the object up there hovering above in the still dark skies
Could be anything from a flying object to the obviously sun’s shine

What ever it was, is for the viewer of the image or the listener of this tale to decide
Because me, myself, and I am still staring at the very image with my mouth open wide
What ever happened there, in the early morning hours in that very parking lot
Well, it was what it was, and the rest, well, that is a tall tale to be told with a varied plot!

Calming Sunsets

“Something so calming about sunsets, even if you don’t manage a picture snap” Gun Roswell

Calming Sunsets

Painted across the afternoon’s sky
A rainbow palette just like on the fly
Mother Nature’s intention to make us smile

Watching the ever changing hues
Will surely chase away the blues
Waking up all kind of new clues

For planning life for the times ahead
Not an easy task, with all the shared
Bad going around in this world flared

But staring at the sunset so gorgeous
Will make us all want form a moment to forget
The life as we know it and become a poet

Full moon night, without any kind of fright

“The full moon in the sky, always makes me feel high, after all, I am a moon person, without any argument” Gun Roswell

Full moon night, without any kind of fright

When the darkness of the night fell, hard, you really could tell
The noise totally earth shattering, to say the least, with all that clattering
The bright sun now settling, for the next rotation some much deserved rest to be getting
And, to finally let some much deserved time, for the fullest of moons, upon us night dwellers to shine
Because without the worshipers of the nightly moon, the sun could never come to bloom
And those adoring the daily sun, would not be able to continue with their daily fun

Above, Below

“The shining moon high up in the sky, but just a crescent one at this time” Gun Roswell

Above, Below

The moon slowly emerged from behind
A soft and fluffy set of white clouds, shining
Ever so brightly, despite of mostly hiding
Its space battered round body, dividing
Thus from us seeing only the best part
For this night so very long and dark
So, following the brightly lit path
Would be the choice to be made so smart
The street light may be turned on
But their light is not so very strong
The only way to make it across
Is to trust the moon light, our nightly boss

Over the rainbow and beyond

“Over the rainbow, somewhere, sometime” Gun Roswell

Over the rainbow and beyond

The rainbow appeared to the darkened skies
Just as the sunshine and the rain were divided
And the weather gods on this day, going undecided
The colorful object painted across the clouds
Mother Nature, in the vividness now shrouded
Nothing from now on but upside frowns

Half of me seen

“Hiding my other side, the dark side of me, always” Gun Roswell

Half of me seen

I like to hide, the other side, of me
The one, never, ever facing the sun
This side, has never been exposed
Never have been observed up close
And it will remain on the dark side
Until, the end of time

Crack of heaven

“Look up, something is happening” Gun Roswell

Crack of heaven (Haiku)

The heavens opened above us
A pale blue patch over the umbrellas
Trying to reach, without luck
