Distant Moon (TBT)

“And Fall, with her yeller harvest moon and the hills growin’ brown and golden under a sinkin’ sun” Roy Bean

Distant Moon

Spinning out from orbit
Like a sugar rush tripping hobbit
If you think about it
It may sound quite horrid
You may even feel worried
But, before you vomit
Another comet
May fill the empty space
And be a much nicer place!

The Moon for Throwback Thursday

We love the sun and some of us love the moon also. So, for this weeks Throwback Thursday, a few posts dedicated to the mighty moon; naturally 😉 Direct from the archives – the crescent moon and the full moon: Let the howling commence!

Moon and Sun (TBT)

Posted in the Throwback Thursday

“A good snapshot keeps a moment from running away.” ― Eudora Welty

Moon and Sun

Early morning blue skies
With the crescent moon up high
The sun soon to be rising
Both of them each other sizing
Neither of them compromising
Soon enough, two bright lights
Shining up in the skies

“And finally Winter,
with its bitin’, whinin’ wind,
and all the land will be mantled with snow”
Roy Bean

Winter Views

A classic scene
In front of you revealed
Trees shrouded
In white powder
The nature silent
All is quiet
In a classic scene
Of a winter’s scene

Winter Views

Grass is still growing
Despite the hard wind blowing
Through the thick white coat
Towards the sun it floats
Despite the cold weather
It is stronger than ever

“Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We’re happy tonight,
Walking in a winter wonderland.”
