Delphi

Enjoying the view
Reserved for a few
Looking at the sky
Closing my eyes
Stepping back in time
In the beautiful Delphi

Deplhi

History written in stone
Time to get my mind blown
Hiking up the many stairs
Counting my steps in pairs

The many ancient ruins
On top of the mountain
The reward of the effort
Which made me sweat a lot

Acropolis, Athens

Once reaching the top
The effort but one hop
The view of awe and beauty
You know it really was your duty

Acropolis, Athens

Walking in the footsteps
Of the ancient Greeks
But, watch your steps
On the narrow streets

Acropolis, Athens

Climbing up the mountain
Looking for the fountain
Of wisdom and history
Shrouded in mystery

A Bench to Sit on

“I don’t generally like running.
I believe in training by rising gently up and down from the bench”
Satchel Paige

A Bench to Sit on

I was looking for
A bench to sit on
What I hoped to score
Something close to a lawn
To lay my tired self
On a softer shelf

Then I saw it
The bench, made of stone
When I tried to sit
I felt it to my bones
Too hard for a fit!

Moving forward
I found one, made of wood
Maybe it wasn’t hard
Rather suitably good
Too soft for a fit!

So once again
I had to complain
But I knew, the right seat
Was just in reach
I just had to seek

A little while longer
As I moved along
The feeling now stronger
I knew it wouldn’t be long
I was close to finding
As I saw the metal shining

I finally found it
A bench made of metal
For me to sit
Soft as a petal
A purr-fect fit

Yell it on the Mountain

A picturesque scenery
Real postcard material
Awaiting most eagerly
So immortalize this miracle

Yell it on the Mountain

Blue
Is the colour today
Keeping
The cold grey at bay
Listen
To nature’s music play
Move along
With your hips in sway
Take a load off
For a while stay
Surely,
This
Is the best way
To spend
This gorgeous day

Yell it on the Mountain

From the deepest of valleys
To the highest of mountains
For what better place to dilly-dally
With your heart a pounding
Just move along the shaleys
Enjoying nature and its surroundings
