pearls

“Into each life some rain must fall” Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Pearls

“Shiny,” said the magpie
As he flew up high
The catch locked in his beak
Thinking
“This was exactly what I seek”

Landing on his hideout
Only, to find out
The catch had already melted
His faith had been tested

Retorting out loud
“Never mind,
Not all is gold which shines!”

Perfection

Perfection in its form
As the leaf it did adorn
It was brought by a thunderstorm
But soon its time was worn
And off the platform
Away torn

Rainy Day for Daily Photo

“Into each life some rain must fall” Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Soaked

“Rain drops keep falling on my head…”

Said the green sad leaf:
“That particular tune, stopped being funny a moment ago!
Oh how I wish this was snow!
Under the cover, into a slumber, I slowly would fall.
And curl up into a tiny ball”

Art

Nature’s art
The pièce de résistance
She made it smart
With the green
And red dots as a part

bug-2

“Into each life some rain must fall” Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Bugs

Creature crawlies of each kind
Maybe really easy to find
But when it rains
They all fade
Into their place of hiding
But some of them like to be riding
On cool raindrops
A few of them pop
And if you are quick
Then zoom in and click

Down by the Creek

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the creek
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
Life will give you a squeak

jungle-2

Jungle

“It’s a jungle out there!”
Tarzan shouted
As he out of the lush forest sprouted

“Someone, please,
Give me some cheese,
And a cup of tea!
Get me out of these leaves
I am sick and tired of striptease!”

Abandoned

Neglected and forgotten
Maybe even a little rotten
Someone had just dropped in
And ended up there squatting
But still saddened
And quite abandoned

Summer Dwelling

My summer cottage
In the deepest of forests
It may not be snobbish
And it does not have a mortgage
Some say, demolish!
But I say, exotic!
For cuteness there is no shortage
No need for creature comforts
In my summer cottage

Ruins

The remainders of times passed
Disappearing from sight very fast
Proves the point, that nothing lasts
…Forever
