“Take a tour around the city of Helsinki, riding a yellow bike for the day” Gun Roswell
The Yellow Bike(s)
City bikes of yellow
For every gal and fellow
Driving by and waving hello
Before we break for jell-o
“Take a stroll along the narrowest of streets, it’s not wide, but you’ll fit!” Gun Roswell
The narrow street
It might just be the most narrow street in the city, if not even the world, but once you are on it hurled, possibly when taking the wrong turn, simply keep on going, move along, walk through, as the end of it will be insight soon, and then you’ll be able to get, to a much more wider and comfortable set, of crossing streets, well, at least, something similar, perhaps, even the market square, that should be open and wide enough for you to finally breathe?
“The glowing blue wheel brightening the darkest of nights“ Gun Roswell
The Glowing Blue Wheel
The blue against the black, against the backdrop of the darkened night sky, the wheel of somewhat fun, but also, the wheel of hope, at least for those, whom are in the total darkness lost, bringing light ever so far, and so bringing the hope, for them to find a way home, having stumbled in the long night for so long, their feet, none too strong, but as soon as the wheel is to be seen, they too know, not all is for good lost.
“There are always people around everywhere, some call them tourists” Gun Roswell
Some kind of touristy stuff going on in here
The attractions of the small size city might not be many, but nevertheless they are splendid
But the shining white historic building sure is the one which draws attention to it so it must be a hit
As all them tourists are flocking the square, where upon the cathedral is built so time in the ancient past, and they all think it’s a blast
To have a look-see, just because you see, someone else recommended it when visiting this same old remote place
Thanks to the visitors, the dwellers of the city feel mighty happy having become part of the world with a spot on the map permanently
“Sailing away, to far away lands… or at least now, that the sun is setting, getting, home is enough for the weary traveller, right?” Gun Roswell
Sailing into the sunset
The setting sun, is the time indicator, time has past flown, and so now, setting the helm towards home, is the best option, perhaps the only option to follow.
As adventure, can always wait, for tomorrow will be another day, for sure, and the lure, of the far away lands always present, never letting the traveller at peace.
So, either a restless night, without sleep, depending of course, how deep, the thoughts of the ventures ahead are, the smart ones, will figure a way, to set sail, even when with little if no sleep.
But before you get in there too deep, remember, to eat, and have plenty of coffee, as the adventure will take time long, at least, until the next sunset is upon.
“In the middle of the small city, it can get quite giddy, not knowing where to go, and just wanting to talk it slow, then ride a tram!“ Gun Roswell

Ride a Tram along the Shopping Street
When travelling, you always want to see everything, at least the important sights, the monuments, bars and restaurants and if there is time, or then you simply make it, shopping for the local produce. But all these activities, are draining at best, even if you try to keep up with the rest, the fatigue sets in, at some point and not even the most strongest of coffees, will be able to keep you on your feet. So, before you want to hit those busy streets again, maybe, have a break and then, try some other mode of transport, rather than torturing those feet now sore. The answer is right there in front of you, as maybe you had made a not of those rails all over the place. Well, you are in luck and those are actually in use by the tram running on them. Do take a hint of my long drawn suggestion and take a ride on the bus on rails or tram without wheels and enjoy a less stress filled trip around the city, checking out all sights you might not otherwise have the time to see. Only, you will never need to leave your seat! How cool is that?
“It might be hard to find a snowless seat in the midst of winter, at least outside, but in summer, there are plenty of respite to be found for the weary traveller“ Gun Roswell

Summer seats in the midst of winter
An image from a few years back, landed on the top of the stack. Take in the midst of summer, where the warm summer rains still felt like bummers, but drying up quickly, never leaving the wanderer sickly. Like it would happen right now, out there in the freezing cold weather and icy snowfall, especially if you were running out there in really short shorts. So, if you venture out there in the ice cold wintry scare, remember to bundle up, real tight.
But, for today, the enjoyment of a Sunday, non too sunny day, will most definitely be, the pictures I in front of me see. Those precious memories captured in the sunny and fun filed moments, on the warm streets, of the city, which, well usually during the night time sleeps, even in summer! And with that thought, I spend my day bundled up, in my very own spot, the recliner chair, as I am definitely not going outside!

“Iyou wish to travel far and fast, travel light. Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness and fears” Cesare Pavese
Harbour in Helsinki
The city panorama
Display filled with drama
Well, at least in the words
Of a known Americana!
Ferris wheels, Cranes and such
Sure packed a lot of stuff
And into just one image!
Now all we need to do,
Is to put the ball into the scrimmage
Don’t have a clue?
Well, just follow the mimic
I promise, it’s not a gimmick!
“If you wish to travel far and fast, travel light. Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness and fears” Cesare Pavese
Aleksanterinkatu – Helsinki
The fearless leader from Russia
Made such a fuss-ia
Wanted a statue
And a street no less
As a name sake
Oh, we are no fools
And know he was a fake
He had his dues
But I must confess
The names sound kinda cool!
If you wish to travel far and fast, travel light. Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness and fears” Cesare Pavese

Helsinki Sea view Panorama
The city, with a view of a wide panorama
The display, fully, filled with so much drama
Well, at least, in the words of this poetry to write
Just look at it! Then there will be no argument or fight!
