On a balloon ride I fly (two)

“Rising towards the blue skies, ever higher, flying all through the darkening night” Gun Roswell

On a balloon ride I fly (two)

Balloons of many a size
All into the air, will soon rise
Some of them made for party filled with fun
While others of them up in the sky will run

Carry on a journey far and beyond
Farther than you or I may have possibly gone
By foot or bike, but oh what a ride!
In a hot air balloon, the joy you cannot hide

On a balloon ride I fly (one)

Ever high up, in a soft huff and slow kind of a puff “ Gun Roswell

Rising high, above the clouds
An exceptional ride I’ve chosen no doubt
A big balloon, fuelled with hot air
Someone else might run away in scare

A hot air balloon, this transport it is called
For without the fire and air, the lift off would have stalled
A giant blob of a ball piercing the tall skies

And in a tiniest of baskets, the passengers are huddled together
Knowing, their life is hanging by very narrow tethers

It’s all cool an fun when you look from below
But rising over the rooftops and clouds above
The perspective changes into a worry of a fall
Soon enough, you’re starting to huff and puff

Looking for a landing spot
From where everything looks like a dot
Finally starting to descend
Thank the deities that, all ended well

“Floating an a cloud” Gun Roswell

Above (haiku)

Mountains below seem so low

When watching from my ivory tower down

Clouds as curtains I bow

Wing side, high above the clouds

“Sitting, wing side, contemplating, of something…” Gun Roswell

Wing side, high above the clouds

Taking a short trip, some self related things to fix
Choosing a seat, close to the window, so neat
The views are floating by, when I am sitting this high
Land, clouds, even the sun, this trip, might be lots of fun
The engine of the vessel humming, as I am too, humming
Transfixed in the scenery, there is no clearer view
Than on this wing side, the world before me, so divine
Mind drifting to other worlds, beyond, where this machine cannot me hurl
But confident the next stop, will be the pop
Or at least a week filled getaway, to enjoy my stay
Because, before returning back to the grind, I need to find
Some peace, at least, within this own bodily beast

High up close to the skies

“Climbing up, ever so high, to be close to the gods, residing high up on the fluffy clouds“ Gun Roswell

High up close to the skies

The scenic views, reserved for those few, daring to venture up to the highest peaks, but during this modern day adventure, it’s not the top of the mountain to be conquered, but a structure built by people, from iron, glass and other things, making it almost as strong as the rock filled natural constructs, but not quite, still, the buildings are meant to last, a few windy blasts, and traveling right to the top, easily without a stop, with a modern mechanical device, with little if no effort, and so admiring the vistas, the views, are no longer reserved for the few, but everyone.

No Ordinary Sunset for TBT

“There’s a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they’re absolutely free.
Don’t miss so many of them.” Jo Walton

No Ordinary Sunset

Reflecting surfaces
Free of disturbance
Shadows on the walls
Where ever light falls
Red as the colour
Always a stunner

Up in the tower
Feeling empowered
Staring at the horizon
Evermore surprising
The setting of the sun
Was a true home run

Through the Looking Glass (Daily Photo 2015-12-31)

Sunrise or sunset
High up for a reset
Destination, unknown
Flying, to a different zone
A new year
New destinations
There is no fear
Only new sensations

Staring out the window
Reflections of the past and now
Mirrored in the looking glass
Knowing only, time will pass
New year
New hopes
Prepaired on full gear
Despite the slippery slopes
