Sundays, hanging by the poolside

“Ain’t nothing like hanging by the poolside on a most sunny Sunday, having a smile and taking some off time” Gun Roswell

Sundays, hanging by the poolside

The Sunday started as pretty as ever, with the shining sun glimmering of the top of the blue waters, what a perfect way to wake up and start a perfect day!

Only working was required and so becoming totally inspired, dragging the chairs and tables outside, close to the open wide nature, at least the pool, because only a fool, would deny oneself a dip in the calming liquid, on such a hot day like this one is.

“Not knowing when the dawn will come I open every door”
Emily Dickinson

From Dawn till Dusk

dawn

“It’s been a hard day’s night, and I’d been working like a dog
It’s been a hard day’s night, I should be sleeping like a log”

That music in my head;
Should have stayed in bed!

From dawn till dusk
From dusk till dawn
Work, work, work
You can certainly, smell the musk!
Feeling like a jerk
Now, all I can do is yawn

Hardly any daylight
In the immediate sight
Oh, Polar Night,
Thou art a heartless might!

“I don’t want to be a passenger sitting on the bench not doing much, even in my older years”

Office Home and Away for Seat Sunday

A seat in the sun
Office life, filled with fun
But wouldn’t you rather
Dig around and discover
What secrets are hidden
Even though it may be forbidden
At least during office hours?

Office Home and Away for Seat Sunday

A home office seat
Far a way from the heat
A quaint little corner
Filled with four borders
A room filled with order
No place for the explorer
But hard work
By the wage earner

“There’s something boring about people who have to go to an office for a living” Karl Lagerfeld

“In order of appearance”

In the early morning hours
From my mighty tower (yeah right!)
I looked outside from my window
I was lucky to stay indoors
Because, it was very dark despite
The glorious blanket of white
That had fallen down the day before
What a total score!
Someone else would say
It was actually a sarcastic “yay”
Which from my mouth out dropped
Before I had to stop
The sarcasm getting too darn…
Still, debating, whether outside to pop
Or stay inside by the warm
With my trusted coffee cup

Staring for a moment
Not wanting to get frozen
I still couldn’t tore away
Transfixed,
Almost jinxed
Standing there
Looking at the open lane
Nothing stirred,
Well maybe something
I noticed one thing
A neighbour outside then came
Starting a task
Possibly with a help from “the flask”
Scraping the car
Trying to rid off
All the ice and snow
Not getting too far
Because the sky was pouring
More of the white stuff

Still standing in my spot
Looking at the clock
Ticking away
Not wanting to get to the boring
Part of my day
You all know what I mean
But, no good comes from just a lean
Tearing away, to my trusted laptop
With almost a scoot and a hop
Started reading, typing,
Huffing and puffing (but of course)
Soon I was in a swing
Troubles and solutions
Solved with a swing

Before I realized
The night was upon us
Time to shut down
Let the evening gown
Dress me down
And a little later
That darn traitor
Sleep, get me
And to other worlds flee
For tomorrow
Back in to the flow
Of another working day
I needed to play

“The brain is a wonderful organ; it starts working the moment you get up in the morning and does not stop until you get into the office” Robert Frost

“In order of appearance”

No, this is not a weather report and certainly not Mundane Monday post (that I already did on Monday, so check it out too 😉 )

You can call this, “‘Till Wednesday”, if you like. There will be no glitter, no glamour, no sunsets nor sunrises (well, maybe, still a few).

Simply depicted in photographs, how yet another working week started, after the holiday season was over and it was time to return back to everyday life in suburbia and back to world of office, well, this week, home office.

Enjoy!
