Rainy Day for Daily Photo
“Into each life some rain must fall” Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Frosted
Like icing on the cake
The tiny watery flakes
Covering all in their wake

“Never mind the wind and rain
You know me to be quite vain
I will always strike a pose
And deliver you the daily dose
So be prepared”
The plant declared
“I shall only do this once today!”

Dripping
“Drip drop, drip drop”
Like the sound of a ticking clock
The drops of rain kept falling
The steady rhythm me lolling
Into a deep slumber
“Yep, they really got my number!”

Pearls
“Shiny,” said the magpie
As he flew up high
The catch locked in his beak
Thinking
“This was exactly what I seek”
Landing on his hideout
Only, to find out
The catch had already melted
His faith had been tested
Retorting out loud
“Never mind,
Not all is gold which shines!”

Soaked
“Rain drops keep falling on my head…”
Said the green sad leaf:
“That particular tune, stopped being funny a moment ago!
Oh how I wish this was snow!
Under the cover, into a slumber, I slowly would fall.
And curl up into a tiny ball”
