Snow Day in March

It was supposed to be a sunny day in spring
But as the clock struck with a loud ding
The snowflakes started to sing

Down, down it poured
The drains started to roar
My eyes started to sore
Was it tears or the snow fall?
Oh, March, why art thou such a bore!

Snow Day in March

Flakey snowflakes,
The earth did shake
But oh, what total fakes
When onto the ground they lay
For a while did they stay
But much to someone’s dismay
The flakey flakes
Slowly faded away

“Home is where the heart is?”

Sunrise over Suburbia

The yellow sunrise above the rooftops
Residents slowly leaving for their jobs
When the last of them away have run
And silence has taken over the fun
Another week in Suburbia has begun

Let thy growing hours be strong
To set right some wintry wrong.”

Blue and White

Blue skies and snowy white waters
The sun burning ever more hotter
To bring the winter to its slaughter

Blue Shadows

The March sun high up in the sky
Painting tall shadows with a blue dye
Across the snowy bed letting them lie
