Who is Gun Roswell? Aka Happy 59th to Me!

“Getting older, wider and never the smarter? Sound about familiar? Oh well, there is always AI right? Perhaps some more of the new stuff to be added to the person I’ve become?” Gun Roswell

The year was nineteen sixty eight
Life still at stage wait
I must have been no more
Than three years of age

Little Red Riding Hood
Yes, I knew I could
In the borrowed red elf’s hat
Cutest thing you ever saw
Prettiest princess of them all
How could I ever top that!

Now, (fifty nine) years later
Oh life, you’re such a traitor!
I still love red of course
Now I wear it with horns
In the mighty stiletto heels
Life is as good as it feels

I, am the Queen, of Fucking Everything!

Posted in the Throwback Thursday

“Careful how you play your card, when you have a queen in your hand”

I, am the Queen, of Fucking Everything!

Who am I?
You dare to ask me?
Or are you playing shy?
Or do you task me?

Do you not know who I am?

I am everyone
And I am no one
I know all
Still I am alone

I own everything
And I own nothing
I rule the world
Yet, I rule nothing
I rule your world
I rule you

I am gorgeous
I am sexy
I am marvellous
I am perplexing
Hardly ordinary
I am, extraordinaire

All the adjectives you can imagine
No one quite my kin

I can do anything
I can do everything
I can go everywhere
You can find me anywhere

And don’t you dare
To disagree with me
Or I will give you the scare
For contradicting me

Why?
You ask

The reason is
this simple thing
I am the Queen of
Fucking Everything!

Day Five_ Imperfect

* We find faults in ourselves, in others, and in the world around us all the time. Today, write a poem about the imperfect nature of someone or something, whether you accept these imperfections or complain about them, try to fix them or celebrate them.

“Me, myself and I”

Imperfect Me

Past tense

Imperfect
Useless to object
The mirror
Truth reflects

Between tenses

Hiding
In the shadows
Finding
My own place

Dark images
Hiding blemishes
Trying to be
Perfect me

Present tense

Imperfect me
Exists
In the daylight
Also

Accepted
I am
Imperfect
