Daily Wheels for Mundane Monday

“Vroom, Vroom! Can I get more speed, please?”

Daily Wheels

Time for the bi-yearly service
So no need to be nervous
This is no major over haul
Just a quick ten minute call
A preparation before the snow fall
Also, because it is the law
And to be able to drive
Simply put, to stay alive 😉

Meanwhile, in the distance
Spotted something completely different
A train dashing by
Almost like it was on the fly
Because a vehicle of that calibre
Do not live by the calendar
Just keeping on the right track
Travelling every which way and back

Before my day was done
I bumped into something fun
A sporty looking vehicle
Did not seem too seasonal
But with the right kind of footwear
It too could be put into full gear
Choose some cool tunes on the radio
And ride along in the deep snow

“I like to make the mundane fabulous whenever I can” Rufus Wainwright

“An homage to lifts/elevators everywhere”

Open Sesame

Abracadabra!
How well do you know your algebra?
It is as easy as one, two, three
Even before you can boot your PC
The carriage of comfort
Has lifted you upwards
Your destination dead ahead
Nothing more left to be said

High Voltage

Danger, Danger, beware
Touch it if you dare
You may end up a flare
And into the white light stare

AC/DC

Electric current
Quite transparent
Lost without it
The modern world
In chaos would hurl
In one big swirl

“I saw the angel in the marble
and carved until I set him free”

Backyard Angel

Snow flakes landing on the ground
Covering the land like a white crown
No stopping of seasons changing
Both in rain and sunlight bathing
The backyard angel sitting still
Feeling neither chill or thrill
A guardian of this household may he be
But not a sound nor move will make he
Rest assured your home is safe
As long as the backyard angel in his place will stay

Dolls for Mundane Monday

“Our daily lives are so mundane,
we get taken over by
what is immediately in front of us
and we don’t see beyond that”
Benedict Cumberbatch

Dolls

Eyes staring
Almost glaring
Never moving
Only viewing

Toward the future?
Or into the past?

No one knows
What on goes
In a doll’s mind
Just be kind

You may be surprised
Or even, hypnotized

They may be mundane
Objects d’art even
Dolls in the window
But no one really knows

The signs of spring are finally returning
When the ice layers are slowly, burning
And back to winter, there is no returning

The signs of spring are finally returning
As the rays of sun in the early morning
Ignite the icy roads into slow thawing
