Time for Dessert (and Ice Coffee)!

Coffee, with ice, and then some!
Need I say more?
Just keep beating the drum:
Coffee, coffee, coffee
What else in life do you need?
Drink coffee and you shall exceed!
Really?
Yup!

Feta Salads and Something Spicy

After a lengthy shopping spree, time to give the tummy some fuel. What better food for thought, or to eat at lunch, brunch, dinner… Well basically during any type of meal: A plate filled with veggies, fruit and feta cheese. That full plate would scare even my niece!

Meanwhile, admiring the local fruit artist at work, when carving masterpieces into the melons (fresh from the near by farms by the by!). Next step, some decorated lemons!

But, after all this sweet stuff, maybe it’s time for a little puff, and puff you will, huff too, after tasting the spiciest of peppers! Maybe afterwards, a game of checkers?

Dolls and Carpeting!

“Deck the halls with Dolls a hanging,
Fa la la la la la la la!”

All kinds of oddities, amongst these commodities. But what scared me the most,
was not the ghost, of Christmas past, but the barbie like dollies, hanging with faces filled with the jollies!

As the initial shock subsided, I decided, it was time, for some unique furniture. And what better,
than a chair filled with carpets! Who ever thought of that, must have been the smartest!

Sponge Bob’s Cousin and a few Hats

img_3554

When browsing the market, trying to figure out what to get, for friends and family, to find that sure bet. So, who did we run into, but Sponge Bob’s cousins! And best of it all, you could get them on a dime a dozen! What a big family!

When in Rome, or in this case Kos, try on a trendy hat. Center of the attention you’ll soon be, in good or bad that may be, when people on the street will shout “Won’t you look at that!” But never you mind, just be kind, smile and do a little routine, like Gene.

Bargain Hunting

Jewels, porcelain and knickknacks. Some of it handmade and made to last.
If you were looking for a bargain with some local jargon, then this is the place.
So many shops and nice things, you could spend a few days! Shopping that is 😉

En route

En route, in a crowded bus. Time for a selfie, but of course.
On today’s menu: Shopping, shopping, shopping, with a break for lunch and plenty a coffee!
Weather forecast: Sunshine and extremely hot, leaving sweat stains on every spot.
Remember to drink plenty of fluids, because dehydration, can be an ugly sensation!

A Journey to the Island (WP Writing: Intro to Poetry)

Day Four_ Journey

* Today, write a poem about a journey. You could channel your excitement about a trip you’re about to embark on (or just returned from), comment on the mental progress you witnessed someone make, or focus on the struggles, pleasures, and extreme emotions that travel can bring about.
* Enhance your poem with a simile if you’d like — it’s a common poetic device that uses words like “as” or “like” to show similarity between two unconnected concepts.

A Journey to the Island

trip-1

The long trip survived
We had finally arrived

For long the journey
Had been planned
Sometimes with moods of stormy
With many a doors slammed

But now, as I am sitting
A view in front of me fitting
My mood is calmer than the sea
And intentions anything but flee

We had finally arrived
