“October sunshine bathed the park with such a melting light that it had the dimmed impressive look of a landscape by an old master” Elizabeth Enright

October Saturday, Part One

Finally, weekend
Truly a godsend
A time to enjoy and relax
Lift your feet up and chillax

But, being my usual self
Could not just sit down
Grabbed the camera from the shelf
And ran down town

Sunlight on Saturday
Watching the shadows play
Colours of leaves in abundance
The birds and flies doing a dance

Sun warming the air
Not a time to despair
The cold and damp weather
Replaced by light and high pressure

Fav Foto Friday #13

Posted in Fav Foto Friday #13

Share each Friday, on your own blog, one photo…or maybe even a gallery of some of your favorite photos that you have taken during the week, that make you smile or that was a great photo capturing opportunity…anything really!  And as photographers are often known to say, “The best camera is, the one that you have with you!”

Fav Foto Friday #13

How to choose a favourite
Do I even dare of it?
I love all “my offspring”
From early morning
To late of the night
I keep up the good fight
For my photographs
What more could I ask

Wednesday in October Part Two: Evening

The evening falls
The sun is setting
Soon it is time to crawl
Into the bedding
But before that
Taking a few snaps
Of the setting sun

Wednesday in October Parts One, Day Time

Type, type, type
Work, work, work
Finally, a break
Looking out the window
The sun beckoning
Stepping outside
Half way through the door
Something hits me
Like a lightning
It’s cold outside now
It’s after all, October
Time to put a coat on
Stepping out, first step…
But wait!
Don’t forget the camera!

“There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope” Bernard Williams

Sunrise, Blue Skies

Early morning crisp
The wind but a soft whisp
Sky of the brightest blue
Presenting the greatest view
Sunlight’s reflections of red
Painted across the shed
The night’s icy reminder
Glittering on the ground
Soon the day much kinder
And a feeling more profound

October Sunrise

Sunrise, higher than high
In the early October sky
Over the morning clouds
The sun has spread its shroud
Blues and reds playing in a mix
Eyes staring completely transfixed
The cool crisp air caressing
Almost feels like singing…

“In December 2014, after completing the Photo101 course, I opened the Photo Rehab Event in this blog, a ‘healing clinic’, for all of us who love photography (hobbyists, amateurs, pro-shooters and enthusiasts) who missed the course and daily interaction with other photobloggers” Lucile De Godoy
