“I’m not a Twitterer, I’m not a twerker,
I’m not a Facebooker, I’m not nothing.
I’m old school.”
Michael Jordan

Old School

In the flashback
Neatly done haystacks
In the olden days
When life was laid back

Old School

What secrets lie
On the riverside
Maybe buried treasure
Or just people in leisure
Just a faded image
Painted for the vintage
A reminder
Of a desire
For the good old days

Old School

In my youth
When placing a call
There were these things you used
We called – phone booths
In the olden days
The secret lay
In talking to each other
Now, who bothers
When you can just, type
Oh, what a modern hype!

Textures for Mundane Monday

“I now find magic in the mundane.
I’m also more creative –
better able to look beyond the obvious and
come up with new story angles.”
Deborah Norville

Textures in white and grey
Made of stone, so not to fade
Others only a while stay
Before slowly melting away

Tracks left behind
Possibly, by the human kind
If the owner you try to find
Then be prepared for quite the ride!

Freaky for Mundane Monday

eerie-1

Eerie
Totally eerie
Surroundings quite blurry
In the small village
So don’t set on pillage
And acting the dare-y
There may be a spillage
Of something scary
In the tiniest of villages

Freaky for Mundane Monday

village-1

A village
Revealed by the rising sun
A tiny little village, pardon the pun
Where life lived in slow motion
None daring to raise any commotion
Not even the sound of a locomotion

village-2

Riding through the centre
Without much notion
Happy may they be
As far as you and I can see
But be careful there not to flee
Or you may end up crazy

“Photography is like a moment, an instant.
You need a half-second to get the photo.
So it’s good to capture people when they are themselves.”

In all hues
I paid my dues
So just,

Is it a:
Washing board?
Diving board?
Never mind!
Jumping,
Over board!
