The little postal boy
Got a new toy
A shiny new orange bike
Which he really liked
Peddling all day long
Because he wanted to get very strong
Delivering messages
To all the premises
Letters and papers
Sometimes, even favours
Never stopping peddling
Always, very welcoming

The little traffic boy
Has no time for toys
For his only joy
Is his current employ
Guiding the traffic
And standing iconic
For the display photographic

Bikes, trikes and velos
Blue, white and yellow
For every lady and fellow

Come out from your hides
And take on out for a ride
Soon enough,
You’ll end up with a smile

The yellow bikes that could:

Sometimes, the rain stays
Sometimes, the rain staines
Sometimes, the rain even stops
Sometimes, the rain leaves drops

Like tiny crystal balls they pop
All over and every surface
Regular like the working clock
Maybe this is nature’s surplus
Of jewelry in its stock

Under the summer umbrella
Sitting with a drink so chilla’
Maybe even a tune in acapella
So the fellow patrons
Have a story back home to tella’

When visiting a neighbouring suburbia
You may end up getting a hernia
When trying some moments to snap
And into the skylights tap
Watch out for the heavy traffic
Or get yourself into something catastrophic

Run over the streets quickly
But keep that camera clicking
Presto and Voila!
Before you get to say ha!
Make sure all your body parts are there
If not, then someone might get a spare
So now, the tours have ended
And indeed, twas time well spended

Just follow the path to the meadow
Filled with flowers of all sizes and colours
Inhale the multitude of odours
And feel the lightness of summer on your shoulders

Purple, with the touch of white and yellow
These flowers filling the sidewalks and meadows
Filling mind and body with a sense of mellow
Let their scent in, and no longer in winter will you wallow

Visiting, a local library or museum
Even, if it’s not so usual for this season
Someone, may call it treason
Retorting, ‘stay outdoors you silly beeson’
But live and learn your history
Other wise you may not have a story!

Summer fun in the near by shopping centre
Bring your mom, dad and even the family spectre
Walk, hike or drive your car
It’s really not that very far

But heed this warning who ever you are:
Once the place of madness you enter
You may end up on a shopping bender
Give away your money and shirt
And later, with a big bill of hurt!
