One pretty thing

“One, alone, single, unattached, still, standing strong, solo, nobody follow” Gun Roswell

One pretty thing

From the darkest of the dominating shadows, rising through the cracks as the thin rays of light it follows, finding finally a way towards the lights even if it had been a long and difficult struggle. As nowhere to turn to for help, only with its own self preservation and wit, did it manage to survive the harshness of said darkness, where the lesser ones would have called out yelp in the overall process. But surely as the day is filled with the sun and the night is lit with the moon and the stars, this tiny pretty thing, managed its way through the small cracks to twinge. And now, standing proud and tall, despite the delicate frame, it will never be the same for this courageous and feisty flower, as now it finally had its taste of power. Blooming against and over all the odds, who had tried and taken their evil shots, trying to suffocate the one, redeemed to become nothing and none as there were others more deserving, more pretty, more of everything the tiny thing was not. But now, here it is, standing pretty over those who never it chose. But it does not care about them odds, not anymore, as it scored, big time, hovering, even towering over them all.

Just, a few bricks

“Do you want to be another brick on the wall, or maybe, even on the floor?”
Gun Roswell

Just, a few bricks

When they laid down the bricks
And added some mortar in between
They did not realize the slick
Particle slipping just there unseen
Once the wall grew taller
The particle fitted in, smaller

But as the years went by
One by one on, just like on the fly
The particle got a lot bigger
Until it could no longer stick there
Bursting out of it’s confined space
It made with a loud bang its way

Soon enough, rolling in the floor
Made of bricks, of course
But the participle, no longer small
Just let it self, casually out the door
Into the great wide world it ventured with a smile
To look for something more outside the life
Of the existence of just another brick on the wall

Solo

Flying solo,

Because, of YOLO
Because, someone told you so
Because, you reap what you sow

Is it fun though?

Going, when the wind blows
Going, with the flow
Going, where no one knows

Maybe,

Flying with someone
Could be double the fun
Hitting a that home run…

…Together

A Bench to Sit on (The Bench Series) One

“I don’t generally like running. I believe in training by rising gently up and down from the bench” Satchel Paige

A Bench to Sit on

I was looking for
A bench to sit on
What I hoped to score
Something close to a lawn
To lay my tired self
On a softer shelf

Then I saw it
The bench, made of stone
When I tried to sit
I felt it to my bones
Too hard for a fit!

Moving forward
I found one, made of wood
Maybe it wasn’t hard
Rather suitably good
Too soft for a fit!

So once again
I had to complain
But I knew, the right seat
Was just in reach
I just had to seek

A little while longer
As I moved along
The feeling now stronger
I knew it wouldn’t be long
I was close to finding
As I saw the metal shining

I finally found it
A bench made of metal
For me to sit
Soft as a petal
A purr-fect fit

Onto a side track we flew

With a cloudy blue hue

And it’s snowing full throttle
No need to struggle
Just call on the double

Feel the wow
Before you raise
An eyebrow
All gone is
The snow
