Painting on the streets

“The artist sitting in their chosen place, never late, always there to take requests for those passing by, in a need of a smile.“ Gun Roswell

Painting on the streets

The streets filled with life

All kinds, all walks of life

Those simply passing by

But also those, making their living

Some selling things, others painting

Even a few perhaps singing

No matter what you might just be looking for

Some kind of a small score

Never is a bore though

Walking down the busy street

Perhaps getting off your feet

And letting the talented painter

Paint your essence onto the canvas

Preserved for the future

For those special memories

To be saved for eternity

A flower of the day

“The flowers are still blooming” Gun Roswell

A flower of the day

The flower for today
Here on a nice display
Not a pretty little thing
Just a bad drawing
Done in haste
But did nit want it to go to waste
A naive painting
Will not be the zing
But if you gave a quirky smile
That will do for a while

Painted

“Every viewer is going to get a different thing.
That’s the thing about painting, photography, cinema”
David Lynch

Painted

A water colour painting?
Or an image ever fading?
The flowers once blooming
The watcher’s mind fueling
If you keep on viewing
The picture might be renewing
Something everlasting sustaining
Forever, in the frame maintaining

Point for a View for Daily Photo (five)

Posted in Daily Photo: Photography, Poetry and Song

“A point of view can be a dangerous luxury
when substituted for insight and understanding”
Marshall McLuhan

Point for a View

Nothing too complicated:
A window painted
Across the wall pasted
None too sophisticated
But looking into it:
I feel quite sedated

The Abstract and Bizarre

Photography and Poetry

“There is no abstract art. You must always start with something. Afterward you can remove all traces of reality” Pablo Picasso

The Abstract and Bizarre

How bizarre
Said the Tsar
When he looked into the jar
Filled with tar
His mouth ajar
He jumped into the car
Driving quite far
Steered by the North Star
To find a snack bar
Only to find Babar
Playing the guitar
While smoking a cigar
And watching Jafar
Striking under par

The abstract
Quite a concept
Maybe the next step
In the world wide web
Can I hear a yep, yep?
Or is it just hep
Or another misstep?
