Blue for SL-WEEK

good-old-times

“There is no blue without yellow and without orange” Vincent Van Gogh

Good Old Times

In the greenest forest
A little blue cottage
Nothing too exotic
The outside not so polished
In this time and space
A peaceful resting place
Before the world again to face
And returning to the rat race

Blue Reflections

The sky and clouds
Like a cool blue shroud
Woven across glass and steel
Looks as cold as it feels
But if you touch the surface
You are in for a surprise
It is indeed, actually warm

“Sometimes it is useful to know how large your zero is”

Multiplied by two
Then numbers quickly grew
One, two, four
Will there be more?

Is it a secret message
Hidden in a passage?
Or something completely different
And less significant?

Twenty-one point five
That’s a long way to jive
Maybe better just drive
Be on site in time
And then it’s time to fly

Fish and Chips
Never mind your hips
Nine pounds and seventy-five pennies
For that, you can forgo the veggies
A meal fulfilling and plenty
Heck, we’re not in our twenties
So worrying is unnecessary
Go ahead and place your order already!

“Sometimes it is useful to know how large your zero is”

33

Number thirty-three
Just wants to be free
Take a boat to the wide open sea
Try down a slippery slope ski
Or maybe, it’s just a trick for us to see
And it’s only number thirty-three

Mundane Monday

“We’re horribly mundane, aggressively mundane individuals. We’re the ninjas of the mundane, you might say” Andy Partridge

Variations of a Theme

Same old song and dance
Oh, just give me a chance
I really like the view
It only shows for a few
Soon some snow will fall
And the pictures get more dull

Stairway Selfie

A familiar form
Maybe a little worn
From the window reflected
And in an image resurrected

Simply Green

Simply green
Like the inside of a spleen
Or little figurines
Made out of soybeans
