Winter 5

“Now is the winter of our discontent” Richard III, William Shakespeare

Blurred Bines

With a snow cover
On the top they hover
Not quite the clover
Still always on the upper
They say it’s a hopper

They call them the blurred bines
Yeah yeah yeah!

“Now is the winter of our discontent” Richard III, William Shakespeare

Bending not breaking

Swaying back and forth
Somewhere up north
In a forsaken part of earth
Where mother nature gave them birth

Snowfall

It pours when it snows
When the soft white stuff downward flows
But still something strong grows
Even if the wind really hard blows

Snowy Cotton Balls

Fluffy and puffy
But still most toughie
Balls made of snow
In the darkness they’ll glow
Pick one up and whoa!
Then in a slow mo
It far away throw

“Raindrops keep falling on my head…”

Raindrops on the Window (Mundane Monday 2016-02-22) Three

Rain pouring down the window frame
Feeling tired and totally lame
Staring into the stream of transparent liquid
My mind drifting and slumber comes quickly
In my dreams I start to wander
Into a place full of wonder
Where the sun is always shining
and nothing and no one is never minding
The tall tales of winter
Now left far behind me

“Raindrops keep falling on my head…”

Raindrops on the Window (Mundane Monday 2016-02-22) Two

Safely stalking behind the curtains
As a lonesome soul outside is lurking
Catching a glimpse of the dark frame
Before into the blurred raindrops it will fade

“Raindrops keep falling on my head…”

Raindrops on the Window (Mundane Monday 2016-02-22) One

Grey, greyest, black
Raindrops falling on my back
The winter month giving no slack
Snow, hail and rain, all neatly stacked
Like a conspiracy by the gods of weather
Nothing to do but to find some shelter

In the bright yellow seat
A guaranteed smile as a treat
When you sit down
You will find an upside frown
Appearing on your face

On a Sofa in Vienna (Seat Sunday 2016-02-07)

When weary from your travels
And the day slowly starts to unravel
Better answer to the beckoning
When to its seat it is welcoming
At this hour it surely is permitted
A true respit for the wicked

Feeling beat
Take a seat
It has your number
Fall into a slumber
In the bosom
Of the softest of cushions

And have a good night’s sleep
