Cats in stripes
Cats all white
Cats that are black
Cats which are gray
Cats in a six pack
Cats who are stray

Take one home
You’re never alone
The time spent
With your cat
Even if a chat
Is never complicated
And never wasted

Fabulous Friday or Ode to my Shiny Golden Shoes

“We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be?” Marianne Williamson

Fabulous Friday or Ode to my Shiny Shoes

golden-shoes-2

My shiny golden shoes
No time for the blues
Singing and dancing
In my shoes of fancy

My lovely golden shoes
Act as some kind of muse
They might be flashy
But I feel quite dashy

I may not be Howard Hughes
And I don’t need any booze
With minimal financing
I am out celebrating

Thank Goodness
For Fabulous Fridays!

“Share each Friday, on your own blog, one photo…or maybe even a gallery of some of your favorite photos that you have taken during the week, that make you smile or that was a great photo capturing opportunity…anything really! And as photographers are often known to say, “The best camera is, the one that you have with you!”

“Nothing screws up your Friday like realizing it’s Thursday”

Thursday, 19th of November, Part One

Today, Thursday

Early morning
I woke up
Showered
Looked out the window
It was really dark
The rain had continued
All through the night
Went outside for a while
Snapped a few pics

Worked, worked, worked
Meetings and then some
Had a snack break
The sun appeared
The flowers on the table
Had started to bloom
Snapped a few pics

Worked some more
Afternoon
It was time for a
Splash in the pool
Left to take the dive
Had a few minutes to enjoy the nature
Snapped a few pics

Back home
More work
More meetings
Urgency
Finally,
Working day ended
It was really dark outside
Put out some Christmas decor
Snapped a few pics

Much later
Posted some blogs
Went to sleep
Dreaming of tomorrow…

It will be Fabulous Friday!

Creatures of the Back Yard

Photography and Poetry: Camera Lucida Photo Challenge
Week 14: Garden Treasure

This week’s theme: Garden Treasure
– a piece of ground adjoining a house, used for growing flowers, fruit, or vegetables
– a quantity of precious metals, gems, or other valuable objects.

“Woman is the sun, an extraordinary creature, one that makes the imagination gallop” Marcello Mastroianni

Creatures of the Back Yard

They are strange and rusted
Quite possibly really busted
Those little peculiar creatures
Of my own back yard

It’s all part of nature
Despite the man made feature
Those little odd beasties
Of my own back yard

You really got to love them
They may be impure gems
Those little strange beings
Of my own back yard

Photo Challenge by SYLVAIN LANDRY

A response to Sylvain’s challenge theme of “Bleu Blanc Rouge
SL-WEEK 20: Bleu Blanc Rouge

In honour of the brave French people and to their courage to keep on living

“Don’t pray for Paris, Be Free !”

Bleu Blanc Rouge
No time to sing the blues
It is the time to choose
Freedom

Blue, White, Red
The colours for which
So many have bled
Freedom

The three coloured symbol
In its presence we feel humble
Even though very simple
We can only think of
Freedom
