Neon Life

Bright lights
Bright colours
Never night
Never duller
When life is
Such a bliss
And filled with
Neon colours

Photo Rehab The Clinic: Week 34: Wrap up

Photo Rehab The Clinic: Week 34: Wrap up

The Photo Rehab is a great community to share photos, learn new techniques, discover new talents, and connect.

In December 2014, after completing the Photo101 course, I opened the Photo Rehab Event in this blog, a ‘healing clinic’, for all of us who love photography (hobbyists, amateurs, pro-shooters and enthusiasts) who missed the course and daily interaction with other photobloggers.

Check out all the magnificent photographs for this week:

What once was broken
Has just now been fixed
When I was woken
I realized I wasn’t jinxed
Now it is time to start healing
And loose the sickly feeling
The situation wasn’t as rough
Just follow the instructions
In ship shape and Bristol fashion
And up and about soon enough

The sun in the sky
Mind almost as high
Finally relaxing
Feelings of taxing
Letting go
Taking things slow
Down on the beach
Life is simple
To say the least

SL-WEEK 7 : Night: Photography and Poetry

Challenge by SYLVAIN LANDRY

“I’m a bit of a night owl because that’s when I feel the most creative and alive” Christina Aguilera

SL-WEEK 7 : Night

“For this week I chose a theme that I almost never practice : night photography … “

In the dark of the night
Guided by only a few lights
Be that snow or moonlight
No reason for a fright
It’s just the opposite of daylight

Sunsets in Rhodes

Posted in response to The Clinic-Photo Rehab hosted by Lucile De Godoy

“When I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in the worship of the creator” Mahatma Gandhi

Sunsets in Rhodes

Yellow, orange, red
The colours bled
When the sun sets
There are no regrets
Of the night ahead
A new day is bread
And the sun sets
Again tomorrow

Camera Lucida Photo Challenge: Journey

Flying across the skies
Waiting for the price
At the end of the station
A promised vacation

The journey taken
Was not a long one
Each morning awoken
To the rays of the sun

Surrounded by history
Shrouded in mystery
Time spent on the beach
Bliss at hands’ reach

Enjoying each day
Life a large buffet
Until it was time
Back home to climb

Gun’s Travel Log: Greece – Rhodes Island 19

“Even people who know nothing about Greece know something about Greece. The very name sparks visions of ancient civilizations that dominated the Mediterranean” Polly Letofsky

Gun’s Travel Log: Greece, Rhodes: Day Eight: Homeward bound

Gun’s travel log, stardate: Finland, City of Espoo 04.00 PM EET (GMT +3)
Feels like only yesterday
We started on our holiday
Alas a week has passed
The time went really fast
We’re off to pack our bags
Oh what an eternal drag
On our way to the aeroport
Wishing the lines to be short

Soon enough
Taking off

Upwards to the blue skies
Above the clouds miles high
After a few hours spent
Homeland visible ahead
Preparing for the ascent
As easily done as said
Formalities and baggage claim
For final destination aim

Grabbing a taxi
Finally relaxing
A long day of travel
The throat like gravel
Not long now
Finally homeward bound

Travel is a lot of fun
Basking forever in the sun
But, after all is said and done
Home
Is still sweet home!

Bye, bye beautiful island
It may not be my home land
But I promise once more to return
When the travel fever starts to burn
And I will start to yearn
Of the blue and turquoise sea
As far as the eye can see
Even though a Finn
Still loving the fun
And the warmth of the sun
On my skin
So maybe next year
You will see and hear
Me returning to this island

Two wheeled little bike
Parked on the side
Working days long and hard
Hardly getting a rest or charge
But still going strong
And it’ll be a while until you are done
