Moon, Moon, where art thou Moon?

Moon, moon
Where art thou moon?
Come out from your hiding
On the nightly path guiding
Before off the trail
I go slipping and sliding

July Moon (two)

“Everyone is a moon, and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody.”
― Mark Twain

July Moon

In the darkness, of the suburban skies
Something mysterious, up there lies
A being, very old and very wise

Sometimes,
Showing its full size
Other times
It too, has to downsize

But on this special of nights
We have turned off all the lights
Now silently, standing, staring, watching,
With nothing but pride

July Moon

It came, well rounded
Onto a sky, a little clouded
In an ancient mystery, shrouded

With my heart, pounding
I listen to it sounding
With feelings, totally profounding
Alas, poor little me, I am but grounded

Full Moon

Full moon of March
Appeared, fully charged
Beware,
Of monsters about
Or you may end up
With a hurt snout

Full Moon

As the Earth is churning
The moon’s a turning
From sight, disappearing
Daylight lurking
And soon
The sun will be burning

Planetary Object

The object kept on shining
Around and around spinning
Before too long all of us came out from hiding
Hoping, this really was, the promised new beginning

Planetary Object

An imaginary object
Appeared to the skies
It was as high
As the crow flies
It was shining so brightly
There was no where to hide
All eyes open and wide
Staring, wondering
Some of us pondering
Was this the start of spring

Moon at daylight
Seems it won the fight
Against the rising sunlight
