“I always say that the times in my life
when I’ve been happiest are the times
when I’ve seen, like, a sunset”
Chris Evans

Sunset Monday

Nightfall
The great Sol
Has left the horizon

Sunset Monday

Almost gone
Relinquishing its throne
Leaving us in the dark alone
Before rising again,
Tomorrow

Sunset Monday

Suburban skies on fire
the flames growing ever higher
Before it was time, to retire

Sunset Monday

For a while it shone
Before it was gone
Painting the sky red
Before going,
Into its watery bed

Sunset Monday

White fluffy clouds
Where there used to be grey skies
Now, the sun shines
Must be, a sign of the times!

Sunset Monday

What looked like, a gloomy day
Turned out to be, a joyride in a sleigh
When sunlight, chased the grey away
And no one, could indoors any longer stay

Spick and Spanned for Mundane Monday

“I now find magic in the mundane.
I’m also more creative –
better able to look beyond the obvious and
come up with new story angles.”
Deborah Norville

Spick & Spanned for Mundane Monday

spic-and-span-1

All spick and spanned
The little vehicle in the colour of tan
Shiny and looking good
Like something store bought and new
Ready for the winter roads
Driving steady, as she goes!
Oh, and away got the snow dusted
Before the police busted!

There must be an error
In the rear view mirror
Cannot see much clearer
If anything is coming nearer!

“And finally Winter,
with its bitin’, whinin’ wind,
and all the land will be mantled with snow”
Roy Bean

A Day with the Snow

Deep,
In the wintery jungle
You may hear
The slay bells jingle
Could it even be….
Kriss Kringle?

A Day with the Snow

A few dark strings
In the white wind swing
A reminder
Of the nearing spring
