“Helsinki isn’t all that bad. It’s a very nice city, and it’s cold really only in wintertime” Linus Torvalds
A Visit to Kamppi: One
A trip to the City Centre
Can be an extreme adventure
For a ‘gal from the suburbs
Can easily get into trouble
With many a temptations
Luring in the odd location

“Oh Winter, thou art a heartless bitch!”

Maybe I am blue
Because of winter
Quite the opposite
Of pure white

“I’m from Sweden, so I don’t enjoy winter at all; there’s nothing cute about it” Lykke Li
White (Mundane Monday 2016-01-18) Two
Oh winter, oh winter
Don’t think I am bitter
But to be honest
I wish you to be gone-st
I really loved you at first
Now I am dying of thirst
Of a summer that is
So hear me please
And be gone!

“I love the Mediterranean for the fact that winter is over in a minute, and the almond blossom arrives in January” Jade Jagger
White (Mundane Monday 2016-01-18) One
Whiter than white
The blanket so tight
Woven onto the ground
And into our minds
Yes it’s winter
Oh joy!?
(She says sarcastically
What she means really)
Quite the splinter
And a clever ploy!
First it was nice
Now it seems
You are staying
Just of spite

“In the full light of day, I don’t want to think about the sunset” Shakira
Sunset
Something wonderful happened
Before it was time to go to bed
A sunset of the colour red
As if the skies had bled
So I stayed outside instead
And watched the beautiful sunset

“We can only appreciate the miracle of a sunrise if we have waited in the darkness”
Sunrise
A special moment
In the month of January
For people up North
This will sustain their sanity
For a little while longer
As the sun is getting stronger
In the midst of the darkness
A ray of sunlight
To keep up the good fight

You left our little place
Gone back to outer space
This is ground control:
We are sorry to see you go
He is the Starman
Flying high, high up
Into the open skies
Back into the stratosphere
Only to disappear
Leaving behind the music
For us to hear

You made us gag
You made us cry
You made us laugh
You made us smile
All the characters we loved
Even the villains unloved
Thanks for everything
You left behind
You were a true king
Of a different kind

Presence filled with wonder
From pre-med
On to the stage
Many a great characters
Taking us into adventures
But lucky were us nerds
When the voice of Darth Vader we heard
Other than that?
Well, of course, many happy returns!
