October Rap for Daily Photo

October, October,
Call it a Rocktober
This is the rap
That would make anyone snap
As a matter of fact
If you manage to survive intact
Possibly use energy untapped
And sing this song without getting cracked

October, October,
When you need a leaf blower
Can this month be any slower
Calling red rover, red rover
Maybe it’s time for some poker
Wondering if I can finish this song sober
What’s it all about
Did you have some doubts
This is just a song
Written in a thong
Trying to make it rhyme
Before my bedtime
So don’t say it’s a crime
Just sing along at chime
And we’ll all be just fine

Word!

And that’s a wrap for October 😉

This is the end of colour
Of the pain and sorrow!
The October rain
Finally came
Lashed down the leaves
Now it’s just heaps
Of gray on the ground
No colour to be found
It is the end of colour

“The best thing one can do when it’s raining is to let it rain” Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Rain, Rain on Saturday (Daily Post)

rainy-day-in-the-burbs-2

Driving along
On a sun filled day
Towards the awaiting fun
After all,
It’s Saturday!

But like the song’s spider
Climbing up the waterspout
We too felt the pain
When along came the rain
And washed us all out

“Do what we can, summer will have its flies.”

Just Another Day in July for Daily Photo

Just-Another-Day-in-July-2

If you expected sunshine,
Sitting on a terrace
With a cool glass of wine
And feeling, just fine

Then,
I hate to disappoint
Dearie,
But it seems,
The odds
Are heavily
Against you

The weather gods
Decided their jobs
Was to make you sob

Like the true sociopaths
Bringing on their wrath
Even if you did not need a bath

But soaking wet
Soon you’ll be
If you think
The game is set
Maybe
It is time to flee

Or then

Just forget,
The bummer
After all
It is summer
And just
Another day
In July

Day Five: “Moment” — Capture Motion

* Our lives are made up of big events and tiny moments. Life is fleeting, and oftentimes it’s the small moments, this motion, that we love to document.

The perfect moment
Where life is moving
In slow motion

Apples

“How about them apples, then?”
Asked Sven

Sinking his teeth into one
He knew he had just won

“I’ll give this a full ten!”

Mayweeds

The flowerbeds’ seed
Looks like weed
But, pretty indeed
Let’s call them
Mayweeds
Even, if it’s summer!
