If the Shoe Fits

“I like Cinderella, I really do. She has a good work ethic.
I appreciate a good, hard-working gal. And she likes shoes.
The fairy tale is all about the shoe at the end, and I’m a big shoe girl”
Amy Adams

The Evil Red Shoe Queen

“Mirror mirror on the wall
Am I still the evilest of them all?
And more precisely, are my shoes
The shiniest in the world?

The Red Shoe Queen demanded the mirror.

An image appeared into the mirror’s glass and with an evil grin responded:

“Undoubtedly, you are quite evil, my dearest Queen. But, there is another….”

The Queen stared at the mirror, wanting it to crack, from a mere look.

Little Red Riding Shoes

Meanwhile, in the deepest of forests, a young girl was on her way to the shoemakers house.

Hop, skip and a twirl,
Little Red Riding Shoes was about to hurl!
Too much fun, pardon the pun
Can cause a headache most foul
And make your stomach scream and growl!

To be continued…

“Sundays, yes, those fun days” Gun Roswell

Sundays

End the day with coffee

Take off your shades and
On to the table them place, the
Cup of coffee to enjoy

Watching people passing by, some
Of the sigh, some even smile, but
For me today is a

Day of rest, a day
Of peace, a sunny day at that
It is Sunday at last

Sundays I four

Sundays

Take a walk long outside

Seaside, a long stride, up
The hill and down to the beach
Scenery to be seen, with

Just one scene, nature and
Man made structures, side by side
Hard to divide, growing together

Over the years, soon there
Is nothing to separate them, under cover
From prying eyes, but alas

I am here now and
I spy, before it all disappears in
To the background of nature

Sundays

Meeting people, strangers and friends

When on the bus, or in
The streets, you’ll never know, who you’ll
Meet, it may not be

Those you seek, but strangers
Can you surprise you, if you them
Greet, a smile a word

Nothing unheard, just some chatter
And who knows, maybe you will end
Up with some new friends

“Step into my parlor, through the arch way…” Gun Roswell

Arches and entrances

Rainbows for all, please enter
Take a long stroll, under the lights
Under the arches, explore it

All, highs and lows, the
Building so tall, you can take a
Lift up or down, or

Choose to walk the stairs
Searching all the lairs, hidden to be
Found, and feel so proud

Sundays

Smell the roses, won’t you

When you walk out side
Pop into a garden, filled with the
Colours of nature, trees, flowers

Everything you can imagine just
For the visual pleasures of us all
Stroll around, see the marvels

Sit on the bench, inhale
All the fragrants, your nose could ever
Have imagined, feeling peaceful, watching

The butterflies, birds and bees
Busy at work, gathering their sustenance, but
Your task, is to relax

Arches and entrances

Protecting from the scorching sun
A pergola with shade, and maybe a
Cooling drink, in to a

Chair you can sink, do
Nothing think for a moment or more
It is time to explore

The surroundings at ta later
Point, after cooling down, for a while
Under the shady flowery arch

Things you find

Table for two

A table set for two
Under the mid day sun, for lunch
Or maybe a late breakfast

Two plates of warm dishes
Two plates of cold cuts, seem too
Much? Maybe invite a third

Wheel, but beware, they may
The attention steal, even the food will
Disappear, before your fill you

Are able to get, better
Just settle for the duo today, then
Have a party for four

On some other warm day

Things you find

Pots for all purposes

Pots and pans for all
Purposes great and small, for short or
Tall, use them for everything

Kettles may also be included
You need one at least to brew
Some tea, but alas, without

Too many plans, use them
For food and storage, even for porridge
But never stop using them!
