“Kos Island…
This could be my land”

She said smiling
Leaning against the railing
Watching sailors sailing
Waving her hand, hailing

“Fine weather we are having!”

Thinking, in pain
‘Wish I was staying’

Her options weighing
Maybe, a little persuading
And some favours trading
Her time would be extending
And in this place remaining
Until it started raining

Surely then,
It was time to go home!

Grey Skies for Daily Photo

clouds-2

Watching nervously from my window box
The hanging grey clouds above the roof tops
“Surely, none on our backs will drop!”
I state out loud
As the greyest of shrouds
Moving closer and closer…
