The Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge: Optimistic

This week show us something you’re optimistic about, or perhaps a talisman that helps you stay positive and hopeful, regardless of what life (and the weather!) throws your way.

Sunshine on a winter’s day
The nature’s showing a halo
The cold and snow to fade
And soon, it will be May

“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence” Helen Keller

Optimistic (The Daily Post) One

Living, breathing, growing
Even if it is still snowing
Bending not breaking
Sometimes shaking
But soon it will be warm
After the cold and storm

“Just an FYI: Thursday the 12th is just as rare at Friday the 13th.”

Throwback Thursday 2016-01-28

Each Thursday we walk down memory lane and dig deeply into the archives of Rantings Of A Third Kind. For these posts, I have chosen some of my personal favourites. Some of them may tickle the funny bone, some even provoke thoughts and some of them will give you a view of the world in photographs taken by yours truly.

Here are a few featured today for your enjoyment today:

“I wake up and I see the face of the devil and I ask her, “What time is it?”
And she says, How much time do you want?” Diamanda Galás

The Devil asked for my Little Finger but stole my Whole Hand

You finally sunk onto the level
Where you were ready to deal with the Devil
Cutting the deal might have seemed easy
But what you found out made you queasy

What you didn’t realize when offering one finger
The Devil had hers crossed while your decision was a linger
What you thought was a small and simple deal
Turned out to be much more than a steal

You see, when striking a deal with the Devil
You will be entering at your own peril
To a contract you think you can choose
Much more than you care to loose

So, now that you got what you wanted
Still, you can’t help feeling haunted
Your eyes always checking the stern
Wondering, if and when she will return…

Sailboats with long hulls

PART THREE

A land filled with rocks and lava
Taking it easy with a cup of java
Especially since it’s as hot as a sauna
But still, this is almost complete nirvana

PART TWO

A road trip to a nearby village
If we were Vikings, we’d certainly pillage
A quaint little place
A while everyone stays
But later it’s time to set sail
And back to the resort trail
