Day in Spring

The Spring Blues

Singing, the spring blues
It got spilled, on my shiny new shoes
The weather? I don’t have any clues
I am just sitting here, singing, the spring blues

Day in Spring

Bike Ride in Spring

Go on a work strike
Grab the nearest bike
Take a long long hike

Spring time is here
Bet you thought it wasn’t very near
But have no fear
It’s time to cheer
And ride your bike with a leer!

Day in Spring

Spring Day

A sunny spring day
Nothing to it, just lay
In the pile of hay

Blue is the water
Be a sea otter
Dive into the sea
And be a water squatter

Today is the start of spring
It really begun on the bells’ ding
Now join the chorus and sing

“Oh sprint time
A merry time
I am feeling just fine
Now have some fun
Fun on a dime
It’s ok, it’s sprint time!”

Odd Shiny Objects

Objet D’Arts?
Or someone’s idea of smart?
Maybe a design flaw?
Without any courtesy to law?

Objects useful and pretty
Chosen by one or a committee
No matter, they look just fine, see
As the pictures are proving thee

but the heritage you leave behind”

Heritage

Piles and piles of stones
In the church yard filled with bones
Resurrection on its way
To preserve a heritage on display

Heritage

A castle fit for a King or Queen
Light up on every eve
This heritage would impress even Steve
Check it out, before you leave

One small
The other tall
Two from the past
Built to last
As our heritage

Heritage

The sea captain, now long gone
Left behind him, something strong,
Long and heavy
Big enough for everyone’s envy
A true blast from ages passed
An object of art, an object for use
An anchor strong and made to last

Heritage

Just another brick on the wall?
This window may be small
But those who did it install
Made sure, no one out of it would fall

Something lasting from the ages here shown
The makers worked their fingers to the bone
To build as heritage a wall of stone
Now us youngsters, proudly do it own

Heritage

When the waring was finished
His belongings quite diminished
All that was left for inheritance
Was a pile of armor, none too relevant
