Bonbons and onions

“Salty and sweet anyone?” Gun Roswell

Bread, made of whole rye
All so healthy, and that’s just fine
Cheese, of the lightest of kind
On top a few onions, and maybe some wine

Food, disappearing off the plate
What was fully stacked has now been ate
If you dared to arrive really late
Then nothing for you, but a hungry state

After all has been consumed
There remains only one more thing to do
When the colour plate forward is brought
Everyone digging in, as it was everything they sought

Bonbons yummy, with liquorice and chocolate hidden inside
Trying them equally for all to divide
But when you think it’s your turn, all but one gone
So, only thing to do, is go and get some more

The Good and the Evil?

“Sometimes a sugary treat, will turn to be quite evil, even with the fruit and veggie filled meal having been consumed just before.” Gun Roswell

They say it is good for you
Healthy type of food
You must eat it
Possibly, even enjoy it
But who can really resist
The tempting siren song
Of the sugary spawn
Of a glazed donught
They said not to touch
But I really wanted it so much
Sneaking it out
In a hankerchief no less
I must confess
I ate the whole thing
With one big bite
Just out of spite
I really, really enjoyed it
