A Bench to Sit on for Seat Sunday (two)

A Bench to Sit on

Moving forward
I found one, made of wood
Maybe it wasn’t hard
Rather suitably good
Too soft for a fit!

So once again
I had to complain
But I knew, the right seat
Was just in reach
I just had to seek

A Bench to Sit on

I was looking for
A bench to sit on
What I hoped to score
Something close to a lawn
To lay my tired self
On a softer shelf

Then I saw it
The bench, made of stone
When I tried to sit
I felt it to my bones
Too hard for a fit!

Darker Side

Welcome to the dark side
We will take you on a joyride
Your mind we will divide…

OK, so it’s just a regular bench in the park, later that same day, when the sun was setting 😛

Exit Seats

Feeling beat?
Can’t stand the heat?
Just take a seat
Before you exit
To the streets

Coloured Bench

I am more colourful than the others
I got painted before my brothers
I go the colour of bright orange
Beats being as bland as porridge
I am shiny and good as new
And seating at least two

Right Side

This is the bench side
Where the seagulls reside
Close to the roadside
Where the buses collide
Oh, well,
I’ll just rest here for a while

Sitting on the left side
On this esplanade open wide
Where there is nowhere to hide
Why?
Well, this seat was dry 😉

Seat in a hideaway for Seat Sunday

In the farthest corner
Of the suburbian border
A secret garden resides
Far away from prying eyes
Seek it and maybe you will find
A tranquil respite for a while

Green for Seat Sunday

On the busy road side
In the green grass
Trying to hide
The bench from the past
Forever it will last

-Provided of course, no one will find it!

Basking in the sun’s flare
“Take a seat in me if you dare”
