Ripples of Autumn

“The runny nose, the coughs and shivers, yes indeed, it is the beginning of… winter?” Gun Roswell

Soon arriving will be the September sniffles
Thought of that gives me wrinkles
Looking at the water’s surface filled with ripples
As it smiles with all its dimples
Life in August, was certainly smooth and simple
And today, is a week day, so just whistle

Water’s Edge

“Step right up! But, perhaps take caution, before diving right in, as it’s late in the year and the waters just might be frozen!” Gun Roswell

When standing on the edge
I made this solemn pledge
To dive in
Even if,
There would be ice thin
Luckily,
This September weather
Is a reminiscent of a soft feather
More so,
Than a rainy autumn
Boy,
Must the Forecast Gods feel dumb!

Autumns do have sunrises

“Surprise! There is sunshine in September too, way up North, alas, sometimes, it takes a while for it to rise” Gun Roswell

In a hurry, just, like always, so also, this morning
Trying to beat the traffic and get to the seaside before the dawning
To watch, experience and really enjoy, a spectacle, specially arranged by mother nature
But I am so worried, I will be belated
Alas, as I suspected, the time is not, on my side
As I am trying, towards the goal, as fast as possible, to drive
But, since the other drivers, seem to have, the exact same agenda
I worry, that all this hurry, is only going to leave me in one big surrender
And soon enough, my fears are materialized, as all the cars, come, to a full stop
As if by some great plan, they all halt, right there on the dot
Is it a red light or some other type of strife, I wonder just then
Swearing, cussing, under my breath, hoping, wishing, not too much time to spend
In this state of suspension, my face, in a constant animation
Feelings rising, emotions getting spicy
And then, just as all hope had been cast out the window
The line of vehicles gradually start to move
From the rear view window, I can see the water flow
Closer, and closer I slowly like a snail approach
The sun, rising, the reddish glow, reminiscent of a torch
As I am finally reaching the spot, I quickly find the parking lot
Rushing out of the car, I am running, even if it’s not so far
The pier, where all the viewers are now
In awe, admiring the reflected glow
Of the sun rising in this Autumn morning
Could not have asked for a better view for this dawning

September Colours of Nature

“Vivid be they, the colours of nature in September” Gun Roswell

Hopeful of a little sunshine
Trying to unwind
Small steps here and there
Enjoying the cool air
Still a little shaky
But no more breaky
The shutter clicking
Nature truly ass-kicking
Every minute an adventure
Bring it on September!

Sunny Days still continued!

“Sometimes, nature will leave you by surprise, continuing sunny warm days long into the fall!” Gun Roswell

Rain, rain, rain
And some more rain
But, wait… what?
Today, no rain?

Surprisingly sunny
To the point of funny
The air soft and warm
I could have sworn
It was late summer
But oh bummer

I wasn’t grinning
Because,
It was the beginning
Of September

On a picnic, in September?

“Sometimes a human mind just cannot fathom the summer is gone and so, thinking it is warm and nice, while venturing to the great outdoors!” Gun Roswell

Going on a picnic
Come snow, hail or shine
After all, it is still Summer, right?
Despite being September month?
Hoping not to get sick
Sitting on the beach
Shivering with cold
The warmth at arms reach
It’s summer I was told
Not time for mission abort
Should not have worn shorts
The rain soon falls
Drops like thick walls
Clothes getting wetter
Running to shelter
Looking for a hide
Getting inside
Cold and wet
And unfed
Cursing and swearing
Of this life unfairing
Looking outside again
Hoping no more rain
What the f…k?
The sun is back up!

September is here!

“So, the summer is over and hey, that is just fine alas, the warmth, the colours, nature is still pretty much alive, and so, I urge you to take a hike, a small walk, out there, in the open air!” Gun Roswell

The nature is still out there,
Guess it will always be,
At least that is the hope,
Not a fear,
No summer, doesn’t mean a bummer,
As long as winter stays away!

Half of a Moon

The other half is hiding
Its time quietly biding
But,
After the sun has resided
It will be fully shining
