Full moon night, without any kind of fright

“The full moon in the sky, always makes me feel high, after all, I am a moon person, without any argument” Gun Roswell

Full moon night, without any kind of fright

When the darkness of the night fell, hard, you really could tell
The noise totally earth shattering, to say the least, with all that clattering
The bright sun now settling, for the next rotation some much deserved rest to be getting
And, to finally let some much deserved time, for the fullest of moons, upon us night dwellers to shine
Because without the worshipers of the nightly moon, the sun could never come to bloom
And those adoring the daily sun, would not be able to continue with their daily fun

Sky watching

“Sky watching yet again, another sunrise on the horizon” Gun Roswell

Sky watching

As the early morning darkness fades
I am set and ready on my way
Hoping, not to be too late
To catch, at least, a glimpse, of the rising light
With my own, two dark eyes
And to admire that, of the magnificent sun’s rise
Watching the sky
I never feel like a spy
Only to simply admire
Of the marvels of what expires
When Mother Nature
Plays around like a true painter
Making art work of the simplest of things
Which will make each our hearts sing

Over the rainbow and beyond

“Over the rainbow, somewhere, sometime” Gun Roswell

Over the rainbow and beyond

The rainbow appeared to the darkened skies
Just as the sunshine and the rain were divided
And the weather gods on this day, going undecided
The colorful object painted across the clouds
Mother Nature, in the vividness now shrouded
Nothing from now on but upside frowns

Shady side of me

“I prefer the darkness, but I love the light” Gun Roswell

Shady side of me

Sometimes the brightness gets too much
My skin aching from a ray of lights touch
Running for a cover, anywhere to stay, to simply, get away
Finally, finding, my preferred place, in the darkened, cooling, shade

Halos on discount

“It’s not always a sign of a saint” Gun Roswell

Halos on discount

I may be wearing a halo, at least some days when I am feeling low
Thinking of all the good deeds done in my past, but this feeling will not long last
I am sinking so fast, my crown of of a halo
Soon will be the only thing surviving the blast
But the waters soon will calm down
And on the surface floats, my well earned halo crown

Half of me seen

“Hiding my other side, the dark side of me, always” Gun Roswell

Half of me seen

I like to hide, the other side, of me
The one, never, ever facing the sun
This side, has never been exposed
Never have been observed up close
And it will remain on the dark side
Until, the end of time

Sunset with Moon rise

“The sun and the moon, keep on the ballet of the cosmos” Gun Roswell

Sunset with Moon rise

Fading, into the darkening skies
Skies changing from blue to dark
Dark descending after the sun has gone
Gone but for none too long
Long as it takes for the moon
Moon appearing from behind the shadow
Shadow of the brightly burning sun
Sun now setting, setting to the horizon
Horizon where it will be rising
Rising when the turn is given
Given by the cosmos
Cosmos owning the suns, moons and stars
Stars soon appearing
Appearing after the moon rise
Rise for the nightly skies
Skies filled with light always

Red Sunset 2

“The sunset painted the sky red” Gun Roswell

Red Sunset

Hot ball of fire

A rounded ball
Ball of fire
Fire so strong
Strong enough to keep going
Going for an eternity
Eternity lasting for a day
Day of light
Light of the sun
Sun now setting
Setting until dawn
Dawn awaited for the night
Night so dark
Dark as the black skies
Skies soon turning
Turning to the blues
Blues before the light
Light so bright
Bright as the sun
Sun giving life
Life going on below
Below on the ground
Ground never the skies
Skies are so high
High as the stars
Stars cannot be reached
Reached with my hand
Hand raised high up
Up towards the skies
Skies, never stop watching!

Red Sunset 1

“The sunset painted the sky red” Gun Roswell

Red Sunset

Over the mountains

A streak of light reflected
Reflected beyond the clouds
Clouds so thick, it’s almost a shroud
Shroud of many colours
Colours with the scent
Scent of the colour red
Red is the colour to reinvent
Reinvent the life
Life going to a hide
Hide only present for the night
Night never lasting
Lasting only until morning
Morning sun arises again
Again the life begins
Begins and then in the evening
Evening calls for an end
End never lasting long
Long as the darkness
Darkness only for hours
Hours getting shorter
Shorter by the minutes
Minutes counting fast
Fast as the speed of light
Light, present again in the morning
Morning, when the day is dawning

Going, going, going… Gone!

“You won’t miss it, until it’s gone, and then, you may end up crying” Gun Roswell

Going, going, going… Gone!

A sunrise, a scented flower, or even, a pretty face
Here today, but, suddenly gone, without one single trace
You try to look for it, in all the familiar places
But alas, there is nothing left, no image, no smell, even the shadows have disappeared
Everything vanished, completely wiped out, nothing left, but an empty space

What happened? You may think
As it takes such a long time for the realization to sink
When did I see it?
It was just there a moment ago, I remember it quite clearly,
It was just there, just yesterday, or was it a year ago, maybe even ten?
What the hell happened?
Am I remembering correctly, or was it all a false memory,
Maybe an illusion, some kind of self-made delusion?
Where did the time go?

It’s all just temporary, like a juicy bit strawberry
Only good for one day, then it will slowly start to decay
Leaving you with a bad taste in your mouth
Thinking what the hell was I really thinking about
I was trying to cherish the redness of it all
Trying my devouring, my tasting to stall
But now it is almost gone
So, where oh where did I go wrong?

Use it, eat it, visit it, live it, contact them
As everything in existence, they only remain for an instant
Then under the hammer they all will go
Going once, going twice, going three times, and then, gone!
