Phases (2)

“Living through different phases” Gun Roswell

Phases

From round to crescent and back again

When observing the dark night skies
Watching, how the stars and planets align
You will notice one off thing up there
A shiny bright object, phasing from a slice to a sphere

But do not worry, as there is nothing to fear
Soon enough, the fullness will again appear
The moon, as they call it, will be as fit
As it ever can bee, for you see
It does not really disappear, but only goes to hiding
Waiting for you, to go and find it 😉

Sunsets

“Sunsets, nature’s most beautiful paintings” Gun Roswell

Sunsets

Summer memories from a distant land
Holding, treasuring, in my hand
Remembering all the times spent
By the seashore, looking for something heavens sent

Keeping a close eye
Trying something to spy
A spectacle of enormous proportions
Which this darkening night brightens
The sunset most magnificent
Viewed by present day onlookers just like the ancients
Nature art spread across the night skies
There within, the truth of life lies

Winter Moon

“Winter is a season of recovery and preparation” Paul Theroux

Winter Moon

Early winter morning
Early, before the dawning
Fresh tracks in the powdery snow
Carefully found before the wind blows

The snowflakes frozen
Glazed against the window
Ski tracks on the ground
But not a soul to be found

The crescent moon
Present before noon
But not far behind
The sun with its shine

December lights I one

“December is a month of great expectations” Gun Roswell

December lights

The sun setting on this dark eve
And for a while it cannot be seen
Polar nights have taken the skies
As a hostage for a longer while

But even in the darkness
There is something which can impress
The holiday season around the corner
All them lights shining from top to floor

“I see red, always red” Gun Roswell

Red

The moon dashed across the
Red skies, peaking through the painted clouds
But alas, it had no

Time for shrouds, as it
Wanted to be out loud and proud
Shining through its dark side

It really had nothing to
Hide, not now not ever, even the astronauts
Had made their mark forever

Happily shining through the darkness
Laughing at those who dared to bark
No less but it too

Was open to all different
Types, as it had to hide its
Darker side for an eternity

Red

A slow eve in suburbia
The streets filled with peace as the
Day is ending and inhabitants

Are landing to their dwellings
After day so long, the feeling of
Strong almost gone and the

Time to lay down your
Hair is upon, just look outside, peep
Through the windows and doors

Let nature play this score
And your mind to rest restore before
Laying your head onto bed

Tonight

Red

Red around the horizon, does
It mean the sun is setting or
Arising? Does seem so surprising

It looks so neutral and
Red, but do you want to bet
Which time of the day

It really is, without looking
At the clock, and if i tell
You, will it shock you?

Neither

Red

Red is the colour of
The sky when the sun is still
High when it starts to

Set, painting all the clouds
In it’s wake, knowing full well what
Is at stake, fighting its

Way, to stay, when its
Not supposed to remain but give room
To the moon to watch

Over the night skies, until
The time of the darkness is over
And the stars switch positions

Once again, letting the sun
Rule the daily light skies, till such
Time it needs to go

Again

Crack of heaven

Crack of heaven (Haiku)

The heavens opened above us
A pale blue patch over the umbrellas
Trying to reach, without luck

“Photography is more than a medium for factual communication of ideas. It is a creative art” Ansel Adams

Moon, Moon, where art thou?

Moon, moon
Where art thou moon?
Come out from your hiding
On the nightly path guiding
Before off the trail
I go slipping and sliding
