Daily Photos for Friday

passage-1

“There is nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept” Ansel Adams

Secret Passage

“Colonel: [stuck in a time loop] If we don’t find a way out of this soon, I’m gonna lose it.
[Teal’c looks questioningly at him]
Colonel: Lose it… It means go crazy, nuts, insane, bonzo, no longer in possession of one’s faculties, three fries short of a Happy Meal, wacko”

Into a new world
We were slowly hurled
Through a secret passage way
For good this time to stay

“There is no way back”
Said Jack
As he his wristwatch checked
And adjusted his backpack

The wormhole had closed
All standing composed
Awaiting the proposed

“Let’s move on campers,
There is no room for slackers”
Walking towards the new world order
Without any defined borders

passage-2

Happy 48th Birthday David Hewlett AKA Dr. Rodney McKay

“I’m Dr. Rodney McKay, alright? Difficult takes a few seconds; impossible, a few minutes.”

Happy 48th Birthday David Hewlett AKA Dr. Rodney McKay

Horror made worth the Hammer
But really a computer programmer
McKay, the Science Guy
In Pegasus a Puddle Jumper will fly
And always getting the final word
Apparently a real life nerd
When playing at the gaming console
Reaching for the ultimate goal

But before I get all side tracked
Let’s get this thing cracked
We’re almost out of time
Adding some Time Lords just to rhyme

Need for paraphrasing “the other” franchise
Oh’ other fans, little me do not chastise!
So without further ado:
Live long and prosper Mr Hewlett!

(Hey, that last part did not rhyme!
So? I am only a writer on a dime!)

Candlelight (SL-WEEK)

Photo Challenge by SYLVAIN LANDRY
A response to Sylvain’s challenge theme of Candle
Poetry & Photography

candle-1

“If you immediately know the candlelight is fire, then the meal was cooked a long time ago” Oma Desala

Candlelight (SL-WEEK)

The clock strikes close to midnight
Basking in the glow of the candlelight
Staring into the fire’s might
Conjuring up images on what to write
After all, this is the nightly rite
And the eternal fight
For a writer, up in the late hours of the night
