“Now Autumn’s fire burns slowly along the woods and day by day the dead leaves fall and melt”
William Allingham

The End of Colour, as Darkness Begins…

1212

This is the end of colour
Of the pain and sorrow!
The October rain
Finally came
Lashed down the leaves
Now it’s just heaps
Of gray on the ground
No colour to be found
It is the end of colour

…Sooner or later
You are bound for the fate of

Oh the splinter
On my side!

A big white ball
In the sky of the fall
The shadows growing tall
Myself growing small
But who can you call
And it’s no use to stall

Leaves, leaves, leaves
They are gathering up in heaves
Giving us the grieves
Oh how I wish for a Jeeves
To rake up all these leaves!

October’s Day for Daily Photo

Red, redder, reddest
That is the colour of the forest
So just stick your nose out of the door
And see what nature has in store

As painted on the spot
Growing, on this parking lot

Colours of leaves
Red like wine
Sunday spent
Basking
In October’s sunshine

October’s Day for Daily Photo

Did not have to go very far
Just step out from my car:
Autumn foliage
In higher dosage

Autumn Days for Daily Photo

“There is a time in the last few days of summer when the ripeness of autumn fills the air.”
Rudolfo Anaya

Contrast

Opposites
Situated on different sides
Positives
Or down on a slip and slide
You decide
Just feel the contrast
Because
It may be fading fast
