Take a Stroll then a Seat, in Lanzarote (Seat Sunday)

“Haven’t you felt a peculiar sort of worry about the chair in your living room that no one sits in?” Nicholson Baker

Step Outside

Do not
In the shadows hide
Rather go
For a stroll
On the wild side

“If it’s the right chair, it doesn’t take too long to get comfortable in it” Robert De Niro

Little Red Chair (Seat Sunday)

“If the chair fits
Sit on it!”

Oh, little red seat
Your presence us greets
You are so sweet
Such a visual treat
Even the photo turned out neat
That I just had to tweet

Sunday

It’s Sunday
What more can I say?
All is quiet in our little suburbia
After all,
We would not want to disturb ‘ya 😉
So just sit down, relax
The weekend is time for some slacks
Before you know it
It will be over…

Sunday, One

Soft snowflakes falling down to the ground
Like confetti thrown on a celebrating crowd
Covering everything in a white shroud
Looking like the skies fluffiest clouds
Enjoying the scenic vision feeling proud
Before the snowy blanket gets ploughed

On the 22nd day of November
The snow fall finally came
And one centigrade of minus degrees…

Sunday, 22nd of November, Part One

On the 22nd day of November
The snow fall finally came
And one centigrade of minus degrees

The white dust on the ground
Everywhere to be found
Where the heck is my car
Couldn’t have left it far
Grabbed the snow shovel
Moving my muscles
Soon the path is clear
Feeling like a pioneer

On the 22nd day of November
The icy cold rain
Hit the bloody plane
Due to one centigrade of minus degrees

I just hope the roads won’t ice over
Or I’ll be prancing like a four leaf clover
Trying to cross the roads
In the early morning hours
On my way to work
Trying not to go berserk
When it’s really dark
Only dogs will bark

On the 22nd day of November
The snow fall finally came
The icy cold rain
Hit the bloody plane
Due to one centigrade of minus degrees

“Because it’s a bench”

Old Town Benches

Sit down
Have a rest
In the old town
No need for stress

The history
Of this city
In one glance
Fall into a trance

Close your eyes
Let the millenia
Take you down
The memory lane

Gun’s Travel Log: Greece – Rhodes Island 5

“And if you make it on a bleak day, a freak day, a week day
While you can be her guest
But never, never on a Sunday, a Sunday
The one day she’s got to get her rest”

Gun’s Travel Log: Greece – Rhodes Island, Day Two, Sunday

Gun’s travel log, stardate 09.08.2015, late morning AM (GMT +3)

Never ever on a Sunday
That is my fun day
After all, I am on a holiday
This is my day of rest
Which suits me the best

See Y’all tomorrow!

Photography & Poetry: A Day in Nature

“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished” Lao Tzu

A Day in Nature

Sitting on a swing
Not worrying about a thing
Enjoying the simple life
Without a stinger or a strife
The air almost like silk
Time slowly passing by
Not one trouble in sight

Observing, watching, looking
What is nearby cooking

The hedgehog sipping it’s milk
The squirrel with it’s tail high
A bird gliding in mid flight
The flowers in the wind crooking

The clouds hanging softly in the sky
Exhaling, letting out a sigh
The last rays of sun on the skin
What a perfect fin
For a July summer’s day
The grass in a gentle sway
