From Sunrise to Sunset, Part Three: Sunset, Nightfall

The sun is slowly setting
It is the time for letting
Go of daily grind
Peace and quite to find
The darkness soon will fall
Covering sky, nature and all

“Share each Friday, on your own blog, one photo…or maybe even a gallery of some of your favorite photos that you have taken during the week, that make you smile or that was a great photo capturing opportunity…anything really! And as photographers are often known to say, “The best camera is, the one that you have with you!”

“You don’t take a photograph, you make it.” Ansel Adams

The highest tower
Like a tall flower
The setting sun deflecting
Last rays on metal reflecting
Silver, yellow and red
Nothing more to be said
This most gorgeous vision
Selection done by decision
For your viewing pleasure
So, do, value this treasure

No Ordinary Sunset

“There’s a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they’re absolutely free. Don’t miss so many of them.” Jo Walton

No Ordinary Sunset

Reflecting surfaces
Free of disturbance
Shadows on the walls
Where ever light falls
Red as the colour
Always a stunner

Up in the tower
Feeling empowered
Staring at the horizon
Evermore surprising
The setting of the sun
Was a true home run

Just Another Week Day in November

“The month of November makes me feel that life is passing more quickly. In an effort to slow it down, I try to fill the hours more meaningfully” Henry Rollins

Just Another Week Day in November

Oh how time flies
Right in front of my eyes
Like a time laps movie
Running by the history

The sun rises and sun sets
Fluffy clouds a wonder
Rain and thunder
Making the ground wet

It used to be January
Now it is already November
Maybe it was just imaginary
Or just something I remember

Camera Lucida: Reflections

Poetry and Photography
Posted in week #13 of Camera Lucida Photo Challenge, Reflections

“It’s always interesting to look at reflections…are they really the same as the reality?
How many times did you look at your own reflection and wondered if that’s how the world sees you…?”

3

“The world is a looking glass and gives back to every man the reflection of his own face”
William Makepeace Thackeray

Camera Lucida: Reflections

Glass, wood, concrete
How this scene to complete?
Add a dash of colour
Maybe a selfie to follow?

Through the looking glass
Time slowly will pass
The observer’s delight
Is the turning of the light

Scenery, water, skies
Even a high rise
At this altitude
The surprise is an absolute

Sunset in November (SL WEEK 18)

Photo Challenge by SYLVAIN LANDRY and in honour of the month of November
A response to Sylvain’s challenge theme of Sunset

sunset-1

“Sunsets, like childhood, are viewed with wonder not just because they are beautiful but because they are fleeting.” Richard Paul Evans

Sunset in November

The start of November
Surely, it will be a month to remember
Sunsets most gorgeous
Twice now in as many days

Sky painted in various colours
Shape shifting clouds in abundance
Admiring the beauty of nature’s wonders
For a while only, but what seems like hours

Fabulous Friday, 2015-10-30

Fabulous Friday has arrived
Giving it a big high five day

Early morning, early rise
A gorgeous sunrise
The air cool and crisp
Leaves covered with frost
With the moon peaking out
Time to holler, time to shout

The nature dressed
With colours of red
Sunshine reflected
On each surface
The flaring colours
The autumn odors

The last Friday of October
Truly has been a rock-tober

The Odds and End of an October’s Day, Part One

“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.” George Eliot

The Odds and End of an October’s Day, Part One

An other week started
Living in it full hearted
Caught by the blue moment
In the early morning hours
Much to my enjoyment
It gave me super powers

Working through the days
Enjoying the evening haze
The sunsets and the darkness
With promises
Of a new tomorrow

Another Early Morning Sunrise

After the stormy weather and pouring rain
The sun came out to play again
The early October morning, day called Monday
It seems I can start calling it my fun day
