Opposites

Posted in Simply Poetry

“All colors are the friends of their neighbors and the lovers of their opposites”
Marc Chagall

Opposites

The other
Of a bluish colour
The other
Not at all duller

Opposites
In so many ways
Positives
You want to embrace

Colour in the Shadows

Posted in Simply Poetry

“I know that if odour were visible, as colour is,
I’d see the summer garden in rainbow clouds”
Robert Bridges

Colour in the Shadows

There it lurks
In the deep dark shadows
Soon bursting out, in fireworks
In one big colourful pose

Christmas in Summer

Posted in Simply Poetry

“Green was the silence, wet was the light,
the month of June trembled like a butterfly.”
― Pablo Neruda

Christmas in Summer

It’s almost, like Christmas
In the month of June
Nature, ever so fearless
When summer, came so soon

Reds and greens
Pretty, in every scene
Something, unseen
On this, widest of screens

Is it live or memorex?
It’s as good, as any guess
But wouldn’t settle, for less
After all, the winter was, a big mess

Enjoy it, while it lasts
For this season, too, will pass
And if there is any chance
Record it all, en mass

After Sunset

Posted in Daily Photo

“How strange this fear of death is!
We are never frightened at a sunset”
George MacDonald

After Sunset

After, the sun has set
It is time, to place the bets
Throw in the dice
Good luck, never hits twice

Who ever, has the luck
Will not, by lighting get struck
Where ever, they may go
Good weather and fortune will follow

Well, the promise of fair weather
Some time spent for leisure
Maybe a promotion or two
If not, good luck
Trying the dice, to sue!

Overdose

Posted in Daily Photo/Tales of Tiny

“There are some days when I think
I’m going to die from an overdose of satisfaction”
Salvador Dali

Overdose

It was just a simple overdose
A mass of a size of bordering gross
They should have just given hit me with a hose
Burning up was oh so very close…

The final diagnose:
Too much sun on a scorching day
Will not keep the nurses or doctors away

Lazy Days

Posted in Daily Photo

“What is one to say about June, the time of perfect young summer,
the fulfillment of the promise of the earlier months,
and with as yet no sign to remind one that its fresh young beauty will ever fade”
Gertrude Jekyll

Lazy Days

Sunshine and lazy days
Warmth resting, on my face
Time going, at a slower pace
Hoping, summer, forever stays

Even, if it’s just a window view
Or a perfect image, someone drew
Still, this picture, may just come true
And then, I’ll wear my summer shoes

Solitary (one)

“Solitary trees, if they grow at all, grow strong”
Winston Churchill

Solitary

One solitary flower
Still had the power
To grow
Against the odds
Between a rock
And the hard place

Solitary (two)

“Solitary trees, if they grow at all, grow strong”
Winston Churchill

Solitary

Sitting pretty
Feeling gritty
In the middle of the city
The tiny yellow flower
That could

“Solitary trees, if they grow at all, grow strong”
Winston Churchill

Solitary

A solitary sun
Lighting up the blue sky
A solitary tree
Growing in the back yard
A solitary leaf
Turning green
With the other solitary leaves

Secret Island

I am living
On a secret island
I just keep smiling
Thinking about
My tiny piece of land
No one can understand
Until they have landed
On this tiny
Place of sand
My land, my island
