Moon, Bloody Super Moon

The supermoon is a 16-inch pizza compared with a 15-inch pizza. It’s a slightly bigger moon; I ain’t using the adjective ‘supermoon.’ Neil deGrasse Tyson

Moon, Bloody Super Moon

Moon bloody Super Moon
Why can’t you get here soon

Instead, in the middle of the night
From my bed standing upright
Down the street I chased it
In a state of a hissy fit
And in my pajamas no less
Frightening the neighbours I confess

Staring up the starlit night
Only to find a disturbing sight
No moon of any colour could I find
I was pissed with my teeth in grind

The big white ball
I earlier in the sky saw
Had hidden behind
A thick cloud bind

So now, another thirty-three years to wait
For that bloody moon to bate
The other option of course
And without too much of remorse
Is…

The next time the full moon is around
Maybe just photoshop in the bloody crown

Photo Rehab, The Clinic: Week 39 Wrap Up

“In December 2014, after completing the Photo101 course, I opened the Photo Rehab Event in this blog, a ‘healing clinic’, for all of us who love photography (hobbyists, amateurs, pro-shooters and enthusiasts) who missed the course and daily interaction with other photobloggers” Lucile De Godoy

September in Suburbia, Part Three

Roaming around the Hood
Because the weather was really good
Clouds floating in the blue sky
Wishing if only I could fly
The sun warm on my skin
Melting the coldest of Finns
Colours burning bright
Ideas taking flight
Snap, click, snap, click
Hoping to score some great pics
So here they are
I didn’t walk too far
But still got a great bunch
In a time it takes to have lunch

Autumn Close-Ups

All right, Mr. DeMille, I’m ready for my close-up” Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard

Autumn Close-Ups

When the nature has shed
Summer’s green
The colours of red
Is all that is seen
Leaves and berries
Even the cherries
Shining brightly
So tread lightly
When stepping into nature

September Moon

The view from my room
A beautiful crescent moon
Lighting the dark night sky
How I would love to fly
High up, up there
Into the stratosphere
And visit the man on the moon
Like shown in the cartoon

“Keep looking up! I learn from the past, dream about the future and look up. There’s nothing like a beautiful sunset to end a healthy day” Rachel Boston

September Sunset

The evening sky painted red
Unfortunately it was time for bed
But chose to go out instead
And admire the colourful display
Mother nature had sprayed
From her can of colourful paint
Snapped a few pix
Just for the kicks
Before the nightly eclipse

“If you want to see the sunshine, you have to weather the storm” Frank Lane

September Rain

Rain, rain, rain
Falling down the plain
The little droplets
On the surface
Colours of autumn
Fully in blossom
