“A good photograph is knowing where to stand” Ansel Adams
Cool and Calm
Over the railing
Feet are dangling
It’s cool and sunny
Even slightly funny

Mundane Monday
“As far as my favorite sites, I do a lot of mundane stuff on line because I travel so much” Bruce Campbell
Turquoise
The cool and cold water
Inviting and soft as butter
So what if you feel like an otter:
Just dive in, it will get hotter!

“Many a calm river begins as a turbulent waterfall, yet none hurtles and foams all the way to the sea” Mikhail Lermontov
7 Days of Nature Photo Challenge: Day Six
In the far away land
Where ever your camera pans
Seashores covered with sand
Mountains tall will stand
The bluest of seas command
What could be more grand

“You can’t cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water” Rabindranath Tagore
7 Days of Nature Photo Challenge: Day One: On the Rocks
Against the smoothed rocks
Is the water happily splashing
High in the air go flying my crocks
When I’m barefoot in the sand dashing
Close to the water’s edge
I once again my allegiance pledge
Wowing, this year my toe to dip
Even if it means biting the lip
Come high hell or cold water
Because it may never get hotter
In the ocean I will swim
Even if my eyesight will dim
After all, it is Spring Time!

“Don’t taunt the alligator until after you’ve crossed the creek” Dan Rather
(7-Day Nature Photo Challenge) Day Five
Down the creek
For treasure we seek
How clear and crispy
The water runs freely
Enjoy it now
Sooner or later
It may turn brown
Don’t be a hesitater!

“The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea” Isak Dinesen
Water
The water spitting seal
Made out of steel
It’s teeth will reveal
Mouth agape
It takes its shape
Against the landscape
