October Morning Frost

Nature in pending status
Almost like being on hiatus
Leaves of multicolour
Covered with sugary frost
The misty air softly hovers
Over last night’s rain drops
Now frozen in their spots
A glimmer of sunlight
The only a reflection in sight
Soon enough the colour fades
The frost of rain only remains
And the Autumn turns
To Winter

Mundane Monday

“Oh, yet another Monday!”
She sighed heavily when

Through the looking glass
Call it a window, alas
Suburbia covered with mist
Possibly a thoughtful gift
By the weather gods
Playing a naughty trick

“Well, better get out there, and face whatever may fare!”
And off she went

Stubbornly,
Trying to put as many dents
Getting through Monday
Not another fun-day
Luckily,
Monday only happens
Once a week!

This week’s World Wide Wednesday is visiting the town of Helsinki. A city way up north, where reindeer roam the streets, it snows in summer and people are rarely seen or heard of…

But seriously, a very nice summer city to visit, my former hometown and very clean, lush and sunny, except when it rains… And it does, a lot 😉 So welcome to Hel-sinki!

There is some storm front on the horizon
With some bad weather arising
From a snapper’s point of view, quite mesmerizing
For the natives up there, possibly poison
But as they say, it’s quite typical for the season
