A Day in the Town of Kos

The Castle of Joanites (The Castle of the Knights of Saint John)

OK, some more ruins: But, this was supposed to be a history lesson after all 😉 (really?!), but this time, from the outside, and I see a bench there! Finally, respite!

Steps, and then some. And it was 38 degrees Celsius outside!

Some horse, without a head (usually it’s the chicken, right?)

“Life is but a dream”
Row row row your boat -song

Quote a Week Tuesday: 2016-08-30

For this week’s quote, something dreamy. Is it real or fantasy?
Or as the famous eightees comercial taught us: “Is it live or is it memorex?”

You decide:

“All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream”
Edgar Allan Poe

Framed for the Daily Post

“It is difficult to see the picture when you are inside the frame.”

Framed Landscape

Blue skies and sunfried fields
From the bus window do I see
Only a few moments
But time all well spent
And now my reward
Is permanently stored:
A framed landscape
Recorded, onto tape

With a view

“I now find magic in the mundane. I’m also more creative – better able to look beyond the obvious and come up with new story angles” Deborah Norville

Child’s Play for Mundane Monday

“Look at this drawing pretty”
She stated quite wittily

“I made it for you
To make a copy or a few,
Because I knew
You needed your passport to renew”
She smiled quite happily
Of her clever execution
To my problem’s solution

Seat Sunday in Kos Island

“A table, a chair, a bowl of fruit and a violin; what else does a man need to be happy?” Albert Einstein

Afternoon Snack

A warm afternoon
Finding a seat,
Before I swoon
Feeling quite beat
Needed a drink
When I noticed the pink…

Red, yellow, blue and green
So many colours have I ever seen
Recycled materials
Making me curious
So sitting down
Having a little chow
Enjoying the ambiance
And fitting in the camouflage

Carpet Seat

“Oh look at that carpet in the window:
It looks stuck in a colour overload limbo!”

“Well, have you ever!
A carpet on the seat?
It’s like we are hexed!
What will be next?
Carpets replacing sheet?
Pillows on the floor?
A toilet next to the outdoor?”

Lunch Time

Time for lunch
Possibly even brunch
Find your way
Where all the others stay
No need to pay
Just sit down and for a while stay
Have some chicken
Which is good as finger licking
Maybe afterwards
Some mini cakes quite sticking
Or if you want something healthy
You do not need to be weatlhy
Just grab some melons
Cantaloupe or honey
No, not trying to be funny
It’s all there
Nothing has been spared
For your vacation
Is most important to this station
To make you happy
And maybe later,
Time for a nappy!
