Thursday for Daily Photo

how painful the remembrance”

Thursday

Candles lit
On the window’s sill
In remembrance
Of friends gone by

From Dawn till Dusk for Daily Photo

“Not knowing when the dawn will come I open every door”
Emily Dickinson

From Dawn till Dusk

dawn

“It’s been a hard day’s night, and I’d been working like a dog
It’s been a hard day’s night, I should be sleeping like a log”

That music in my head;
Should have stayed in bed!

From dawn till dusk
From dusk till dawn
Work, work, work
You can certainly, smell the musk!
Feeling like a jerk
Now, all I can do is yawn

Hardly any daylight
In the immediate sight
Oh, Polar Night,
Thou art a heartless might!

Tuesday Sunset

sunset-1

…In a few flashing moments
Before we articulated any comments
It was gone
Possibly a drone
Someone said over the phone
Some other suspected
It was something called “The Sun”
Oh what fun!

Tuesday Sunset

Close to the end of the year
You won’t believe what you hear
There was an unidentified object
Right there for us mere humans to detect
It came out of nowhere
Did not stay for long here…

Holiday Season

Holiday Eve

‘Twas the night before Christmas
Nothing stirred,
No sound was heard
No human, nor animal, in sight
Even the mice had taken flight
The only ones about their business
Were the little green men from Mars
They had to be really careful
Their nature a little bit fearful
For the holidays not to turn into a farce
It was their turn to spread wholly
Presents and a great amounts of jolly!”

Holiday Fantasy vs. Reality

7-b

“I’m dreaming of a white Christmas…”

…Then we woke up
Put the dog out to pee
Decorated the holiday tree
In a soaking, stormy Christmas Eve

Standing on the shelf
Spreading all the mirth
To the people of this Earth

Holiday Reflections

5-b

Silent night, holy night
Time to give up the fight
Time to get quiet
Look at the pretty lights
And know that,
All will be alright

Elves

From yesteryear
A few welcome dears
For this season
Bringing us some cheer
To wash away the tears
And vanquish all fears
They are called
The Elves

Holiday Season

Present Overload

Did someone go overboard
With this massive overload
Of holiday presents
Under the holiday tree
Without a good reason
Nor any price of fee?

Well,
It’s certainly not unpleasant
So dig in
It’s not a sin
During this season!
