From Dawn till Dusk for Daily Photo

“Not knowing when the dawn will come I open every door”
Emily Dickinson

From Dawn till Dusk

dawn

“It’s been a hard day’s night, and I’d been working like a dog
It’s been a hard day’s night, I should be sleeping like a log”

That music in my head;
Should have stayed in bed!

From dawn till dusk
From dusk till dawn
Work, work, work
You can certainly, smell the musk!
Feeling like a jerk
Now, all I can do is yawn

Hardly any daylight
In the immediate sight
Oh, Polar Night,
Thou art a heartless might!

THE DAILY POST; TREAT

The Daily Post photo challenge: Treat

“Absolutely eat dessert first. The thing that you want to do the most, do that”
Joss Whedon

THE DAILY POST; TREAT

Middle of the day, a lunch date, a little treat
Nothing fancy, it seemed, at first glance
Pancakes, strawberries and whipped cream
But soon enough, the treat made me dance

The days are getting shorter
Reflections on the water
The last of the reminders
Of the times much kinder

The games of summer played
The tanned skin to rest laid
Tall shadows now displayed
Soon enough will fade

Because,
When in October
The cold shoulder
Of winter
Soon will reenter

Just another ordinary day
A day at the office
Blue for the skies
Blue for the thoughts
Looking out the window
Weather getting brighter
Mood is getting lighter
No time to hesitate
Out for a quick break
Sunshine and cool weather
What could be better

The Daily Post: (Extra)ordinary Part One

Early morning
Misty weather
Softly adorning
Like a feather
The nature silent
Without movement
The early bird
Only to be heard
Nothing else
Breaks the silence
Of the morning mist

A Rose by any other Name

Photo101: Day Sixteen: Treasure & Close-up

“Wake up and smell the roses”

A Rose by any other Name

You delicate little thing
What joy for me you bring
You landed on my desk
Looking oh so statuesque
You were a gift for my birthday
Even though it was a workday
Thanks dear work mates
Bringing something great
To an otherwise dreary day
